- December 12 2003: She and Scott Stuber were appointed to the position of Vice Chairman, Worldwide Production for Universal Pictures. In their newly-created positions as Vice Chairman, Worldwide Production, Parent and Stuber will continue to oversee the worldwide acquisition, creative development and production of all Universal Pictures feature films, and in addition will oversee Universal's original made-for-video productions as well as the creative development and production of its original animation properties.
- In 2008, named Chairperson of MGM's Worldwide Motion Picture Group. Placed 28th on The Wall Street Journal's "50 Women to Watch 2008" list. Parent left MGM in October 2010.
