The road to recovery may have just gotten a little bit brighter for a victim of the Taft Union high school shooting. And he has his classmates to thank for it.
Bowe Cleveland, a 16-year-old Taft Union High School student and fan of the Spiderman comics, received a personalized message from Stan Lee of Marvel Comics after fellow students started a viral campaign on social media.
"Hey, hi, Bowe," Lee begins in the video. "You know, I've been told that you're a big fan of mine, and I want you to know, that means a lot to me."
The shooting occurred at a science classroom in Taft, Calif., last week. According to witnesses, alleged shooter Bryan Oliver entered and fired one round, striking Cleveland in the chest and abdomen.

With The Crow legal dispute between The Weinstein Co. and Relativity Media resolved, the two movie studios can move forward with its production. Today the two studios announced that F. Javier Gutierrez will direct the movie and use a script that will be penned by Jesse Wigutow.
The Crow will be based on James O’Barr’s 1989 comic book of the same name, and Stephen Norrington will pen its script. The film will continue to focus on a musician who dies while unsuccessfully trying to save his fiancée’s life from an attack. One year later, he is resurrected from the dead and is bent on revenge on those who took his and his fiancée’s life.
