- Andrea Occhipinti is the president and founder of Lucky Red. Since 1987 it has distributed and produced the best of independent cinema, successfully introducing Italian audiences to great directors from all over the world such as Alejandro Amenabar, Lars Von Trier, Robert Altman, Frank Oz, Atom Egoyan, Mario Martone, Wong Kar Way, Park Chan Wook, Michael Haneke, Hayao Miyazaki, Jean Pierre and Luc Dardenne. Among the best-known titles: The Millionaire, Il Divo, In the Mood for Love, The little Prince, Nebraska, Philomena, The Master, Moonlight, Two is a Family, Stanlio&Ollio, Cold War, Sorry We Missed You, Ennio. From 2013 to 2018 Andrea Occhipinti has been president of domestic distributor division of Anica and he was also the initiator of the recent summer theatrical programming development. In 2014, he received a "David di Donatello" Special Award for his commitment in theatrical distribution. In 2015 he has been awarded with the European Film Award for Best European Co-Producer. In 2015, in partnership up with Indigo Film, Lucky Red founded True Colours, that quickly became the leading international movie sales company in Italy. In 2016 Lucky Red has opened a new division dedicated to production, succeeding in a short time to bring to the cinema highly successful films such as The legend of a Christmas Witch, 18 presents, Freaks Out and I Am Santa Claus, he has also produced the films Under the Riccione sun and Under the Amalfi sun for Netflix, and the TV series The Trial for Mediaset and Christian for Sky. In 2019 he won the "David di Donatello" as Best Producer for the film On My Skin by Alessio Cremonini and in 2022 for the film Freaks Out by Gabriele Mainetti.
