Inspired by Ancient Greek mythology, the first season of Netflix’s Blood of Zeus, initially known as Gods & Heroes, premiered on October 27, 2020. The series had a total of eight episodes, and it was well-received by fans and critics. Created by Charley and Vlas Parlapanides, the series was produced by Powerhouse Animation Studios with the animation outsourced to South Korean studios Mua Film and Hanho Heung-Up. The series was quickly renewed for a second season in December 2020, but it took a total of four years for the series to return, as Netflix finally confirmed that the second season will premiere on May 9, 2024.
The creators of the series have confirmed that they have a total of five seasons planned, and we just hope that we won’t have to wait that long for the upcoming seasons to appear. Alongside the premiere date, a trailer has also been released, which you can watch below.

What’s the saying? Oh yeah… third times the charm and the Resident Evil series is no exception. For our third outing we’re here to explore the aftermath of the apocalypse with Resident Evil: Extinction (watch it Here). This one is pretty divisive with the consensus being some people, like myself, loved this film while others felt this was the beginning of the downward slope of sequels of the franchise. Hear me out as to why I sing its praises. For one, it tells a cohesive story and gives us a side of Alice that we’ve been dying to see. We get more new characters that bring gravitas to the story as well as a fully fleshed out villain and it’s a lot of fun. Plus, its pays homage to The Road Warrior in the best way. So, let’s hit up the Sand Dunes of Vegas,...

Oh, Bode is certainly back, and so is the melodrama!
Bringing us back to Three Rock was the best way to get a better feel for what Fire Country Season 2 will be like, even if it took a convoluted and controversial turn to keep Bode chained to the fire camp.
That said, Fire Country Season 2 Episode 2 only proved that some of the concerns about this series will come to fruition if we continue down this route.
Fire Country isn't even pretending as if it's not a late-night soap opera at this point.
Might it even be on the cusp of rivaling something akin to Grey's Anatomy? Possibly!
It's not that there's anything wrong with primetime soaps. Hell, the aforementioned medical series is still going strong 20 years later.
The issue is that the writing isn't always lining up and executed as best as it should. It's doubtful that most of the...

Writer-director Daniel Brown’s Your Lucky Day offers a twist-laden take on the hostage crisis film. Set almost entirely within a convenience store, the story revolves around a $156 million-winning lottery ticket and how it triggers a bloody series of events. A young drug dealer, Sterling (the late Angus Cloud), pounces on the opportunity and robs the unlucky winner right before a policeman emerges from the bathroom. Faced with too many loose ends to simply leave and collect the money, Sterling opts to cut in the witnesses that he initially takes as hostages, as long as they help him cover up his crimes.
For a thriller, Your Lucky Day’s atmosphere is oddly and refreshingly relaxed. For one, the characters don’t need much convincing when it comes to going with Sterling’s plan. Some, like the pregnant Ana Marlene (Jessica Garza), even prove quite adept at scheming as they puzzle...

"This could be our chance at a better life..." Well Go USA has revealed an official trailer for an indie thriller titled Your Lucky Day, marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Dan Brown (not the author). This just premiered at Fantastic Fest a few weeks ago, and it's opening in November. After a dispute over a winning lottery ticket turns into a deadly hostage situation, the witnesses must decide exactly how far they’ll go—and how much blood they’re willing to spill—for a cut of the $156 million prize. Greed and desperation rules America. Ff describes it as "pressure cooker of a morality tale. Effortlessly charismatic, with a canny ability to telegraph the contradictory emotions & restless impulses of marginalized characters, Your Lucky Day marks one of the final performances of the unique young talent whose life was tragically cut short in July of this year." It may seem hard to believe, but at one stage Resident Evil was not only the highest-grossing film series based on a video game, but also the highest-grossing horror film series period. Consisting of six movies and a reboot, the Resident Evil movies just kept making money even while they were being bashed by critics. Most of those critics arguably had valid points, but the arrival of a new Resident Evil movie simply became oddly comforting somewhere along the way.
Thanks to the creative voices of Event Horizon director Paul W.S. Anderson and his Fifth Element actress wife Milla Jovovich, six of the seven Resident Evil movies feature the character of Alice (Jovovich firing on all cylinders), a former security specialist and covert operative who initially has amnesia but eventually remembers she’s out to take down the insidious Umbrella Corporation, a global company responsible for Earth’s weirdest zombie apocalypse.

“America doesn’t care how you get your money.” That line serves as a bleak thesis statement for “Your Lucky Day.” The feature debut from writer-director Dan Brown proceeds from the assumption that in America, nothing — not family, not integrity, not your personal safety or the safety of others — is more important than getting rich. And once you are rich, nothing else matters, including how you got that way. You can pay for lawyers to take care of all that, as sensitive stickup kid Sterling (Angus Cloud) tells his hostages early on in the film.
Sterling’s plan to get rich is, to put it bluntly, short-sighted. He’s one of a handful of people who overhear a pushy, racist...

Your Lucky Day, the horror thriller featuring one of the final performances of Euphoria breakout Angus Cloud, has secured a SAG-AFTRA Interim Agreement for publicity ahead of its Fantastic Fest premiere, Deadline has learned.
As with all projects under agreements of this sort — Michael Mann’s Ferrari and the Sean Penn-Dakota Johnson starrer Daddio being just two other prominent examples — we’ll have to wait and see who will, in fact, agree to participate in promotional activities amidst the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. A prominent genre festival based in Austin, TX, Fantastic Fest takes place this year from September 21-28.
Dying of an undisclosed cause on July 31st, at his family home in Oakland, CA, aged 25, Cloud’s co-stars in Your Lucky Day included Jessica Garza, Elliot Knight, Jason O’Mara, Spencer Garrett, Mousa Hussein Kraish, Jason Wiles and Sebastian Sozzi.

HBO's "Band of Brothers" remains one of the great TV shows and a devastatingly powerful recreation of World War II. Conceived by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks shortly after their Academy Award-winning World War II epic "Saving Private Ryan," "Band of Brothers," based on the book by Stephen E. Ambrose, chronicles "Easy" Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division's experiences in Europe. We follow this ragtag group of Americans through boot camp, D-Day, and Bastogne; witness their most ferocious battles; and watch as the war emotionally and physically impacts each of them.
As a bonus, preceding each episode is an introduction from various real-life members of Easy Company. They describe the action in their own words so that it resonates deeper. It's one thing to watch these events and another to hear a veteran recall the experience first-hand.

Netflix's thriller movie Hypnotic came just in time for spooky season, but it's still perfect creepy viewing any time of year. The film, directed by Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote, stars Kate Siegel and Jason O'Mara and takes viewers on an incredibly tense deep dive into the dark side of hypnotherapy. Since there are so many twists and turns, the movie's ending may throw you for a loop, so here's a full breakdown of what happens.
Where It All Starts
