Here’s a look at this week’s biggest premieres, parties and openings in Los Angeles and New York, including events for Leo, Dior’s Carousel of Dreams at Saks and a number of starry FYC screenings.

The event, held at the London West Hollywood, also featured a surprise meet up between Giamatti and Jeffrey Wright, who followed up a role in the Focus release Asteroid City with American Fiction.

I had a lot of problems with "Boys Will Be Boys."

The subject matter was terrible. There's no doubt about it: I don't know how covering the murder of a transgender child by a family member could be handled well, but this felt awful to me.

Going after the kid who harassed the victim was done well, and Sanchez when he hunts those who hurt kids. That's his forte, without a doubt. While the child wasn't the killer in the end, it was a satisfying conclusion they were able to charge him with what he did in the bathroom and posted on the Internet. 

What was so difficult for me to watch was the focus on the family, especially on the father, a great guest starring role by Craig Sheffer, who seemed to have "anger" issues. To me, he seemed the only one in the family who cared for his daughter.

When the "American Dreams" cast and producers reunited at the Atx Television Festival on Sunday in Austin, Texas, loyal fans were treated to the unaired but long-rumored "epilogue" to the series finale, which showed where Meg Pryor (Brittany Snow) and her beloved family should've ended up when the show was abruptly cancelled after Season 3.

"American Dreams" creator Jonathan Prince admitted that the brief scenes showed how the writers would've ended the series had they been given the money or time to film one more episode, but since they hadn't, they had to film it while they wrapped up the finale without going overbudget. "We showed it to ourselves ... it's raw. The editor's talking instead of an actor -- that's what makes it beautiful. We have all known for a long time that there isn't too much "reality" in reality television. Thus, it makes sense that a fictional, scripted show like "Castle" could easily incorporate a fake reality program into its stories. When one of the stars of "The Wives of Wall Street" is murdered in the "Reality Star Struck" episode, every wife is a suspect.

"Firefly" fans were all aflutter when news broke that Gina Torres would be visiting "Castle" for an on-screen reunion with the former Captain Mal Reynolds (Nathan Fillion) -- and thankfully the wait is almost over: The episode airs Monday, Feb 11 at 10 p.m. Est on ABC.

HuffPost TV has an exclusive preview of Torres and Fillion sharing the screen once more -- but this time, they're not exactly on the same team. Torres plays Samantha Foster, a "ruthless fashion mogul" in a "Real Housewives"-style reality show called "The Wives of Wall Street," and as you can see in the clip above, she's apparently not above getting her hands dirty.

Some of our favorite "Castle" episodes poke fun at pop culture, so we're particularly looking forward to episode 514, "Reality Star Struck." Nathan Fillion will reunite with his "Firefly" costar Gina Torres for the episode, which focuses on a "Real Housewives"-esque reality show called "The Wives of Wall Street."

And let's just say they're using the term "reality" loosely -- on this show, all is not as it seems.

Now, Zap2it has learned exclusively that Lachlan Buchanan will play Stone Gower. The 24-year-old son of Gail O'Grady's character, a reality star and cosmetics mogul, Gower feels he was bullied into participating in the reality series. On an upcoming episode of Castle Season 5, Gail O'Grady will get real. Sort of.

The veteran actress (NYPD Blue, Hellcats) will guest star in February on the ABC smash as Margo Cowan, a cast member on The Wives of Wall Street, a Real Housewives-like series that focuses on the character's cosmetics empire.

Look for it to have employed the victim of a homicide Rick and company are investigating.

The third season of The Killing won't include Billy Campbell, who I could see continuing to have a role in a new mystery. Less surprisingly, Michelle Forbes and Brent Sexton aren't returning either.

The CW has already tried to emulate The Hunger Games with its TV pilot adaptation of The Selection. That project is on hold, Now, it's taking the reality TV route with The Hunt, where 12 people will be left in the wilderness and try to capture each other. It might be time for them to give up on this pursuit. Perhaps there's still time for The CW to start looking for a TV version of Harry Potter, instead?

A familiar face from The CW’s Hellcats and NBC’s American Dreams is coming ashore on Hawaii Five-0.

Actress Gail O'Grady has landed a guest star role on the CBS hit playing a woman who’s husband is in a coma who discovers he supposedly dead son may be alive after all. Hawaii also has guest star Greg Grunberg appearing in Monday’s episode, with Jimmy Buffett soon to come.

When she's not being mother to school-age son Michael, Gail O'Grady is a den mother of sorts to a bevy of young beauties on The CW Tuesday cheerleading drama "Hellcats," which returned last week with new episodes.

Through her co-stars, O'Grady has been introduced to the music of Florence and the Machine and updated her tech skills -- more or less.

"I can check emails," she tells Zap2it, "but I'm not exactly in this century right now. [The girls] have always got something new and advanced. They help me probably with music and keeping me a little younger, I guess. Not that I'm an old bat, but as I said, it's a very young cast."

O'Grady plays Wanda Perkins, an irresponsible former party girl who works at the campus pub at the university where her daughter, Marti (Aly Michalka), is studying pre-law on a cheerleading scholarship.

A new international trailer for Robert Hall's 'Laid to Rest' horror sequel 'ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2' has popped up online for you to feast your horror hungry eyes upon. Thomas Dekker returns as Tommy, whilst Nick Principe returns to play the dreaded ChromeSkull. Well....it's finally here! The international teaser (see below) for ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2 and the film simply looks awesome. I'm not even a fan of the original, but I am anticipating the release of this film.

Plot details are still vague. This brief plot synopsis was available on IMDb, but doesn't really tell viewers anything that they didn't know to begin with.

"Hellcats" is the Vancouver-lensed cheerleading comedy-drama TV series based on the book "Cheer: Inside the Secret World of College Cheerleaders" by journalist Kate Torgovnick, airing on The CW in the Us.

The series focuses on the lives of college cheerleaders, mainly 'Marti Perkins' (Alyson Michalka), a pre-law college student who has to join cheerleading team the 'Hellcats', in order to maintain her scholarship.

"...'Marti Perkins (Michalka) a student at Lancer University, lost her scholarship and has no other choice but to join the college's cheer squad the 'Hellcats'. Ok my horror loving peeps. We've had some Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2 fun the past few weeks and today we have the first clip to share. I frakkin loved the first movie so much and I'm totally curious how old Chromey gets brought back for this round so we'll see. Circle is a frightening horror release from Indican Pictures, which puts several detectives on the trail of an escaped serial killer. Unfortunately, a group of unarmed twenty-somethings finds him first. The title has been reviewed favourably (here) and the infamous actress America Olivo has been interviewed on this title (here). This release is loaded with extras including a behind the scenes featurette, Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound, previews of other upcoming Indican Pictures' releases and all this in anamorphic widescreen presentation.

Hellcats star Aly Michalka has revealed that she likes the scenes between Marti and her mother. Speaking to Venice Magazine, Michalka explained that she enjoys exploring the dynamic between them. "My favourite scenes are my scenes with Gail O'Grady, who plays my mum," she said. "The heart-to-hearts that Marti has with her, where there is a role-reversal and Marti is the one taking care of her mum instead of its being the other way around. In the midst of shooting the first season of her new CW show "Hellcats," Ashley Tisdale has been focused on playing cheerleader Savannah Monroe to the best of her ability.

Talking about her latest gig with Et, the former "High School Musical" star said of her character, "I like her clothes. She has like a Southern flair.… When I think of a Southern chick, I think of little dresses all the time. She comes from a wealthy family. She is always in little floral outfits."

Moving on to dish her thoughts on filming in Vancouver, Tizzie tells, "It has been interesting. I feel like I am in college. I didn't get to go to college. I graduated regular high school. I went to regular school all my life. Education is very big for my family and for me, but I went straight to Disney after high school, so I never got to experience going away.

Working hard on some new episodes of her sure-to-be-hit show, Ashley Tisdale was spotted in Vancouver, Canada yesterday (September 13).

The CW network kicked off the Fall 2010 season last night with the premiere of their new Hellcats series? Is the drama giving the network something to cheer about or will it be dumped like last year's quickly-cancelled The Beautiful Life?

Hellcats revolves around Marti Perkins (Aly Michalka), a pre-law student who must join her university's cheerleading team to win a scholarship to stay in school. The show also features Ashley Tisdale, Gail O'Grady, Heather Hemmens, Matt Barr, Robbie Jones, and Sharon Leal.

Last night, the Hellcats debut attracted a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.99 million viewers, putting the program in a distant fifth place in both categories (per the overnights). That would be a terrible performance by any other network's standards but is good for The CW's.

"Hellcats" isn't "Bring It On" -- perhaps the most sardonically exuberant and cleverly self-aware cheerleading project of all time -- but it takes a stab at the formula and marches out a palatable diet version.

Marti Perkins (Aly Michalka) is a rebel, which we can tell by all the black clothes and dark eyeliner she wears, a pre-law student who loses her scholarship at Memphis' Lancer U and resorts to trying for the cheerleading team scholarship instead. It's a mutual business arrangement since the Hellcats need a competition win in order to keep their funding, and Marti's particular brand of loose dance-cheering might give them that edge.

Look, we all know that "Hellcats" isn't supposed to be deep -- although there's plenty of navel gazing of the literal variety -- but it delivers on its promise: attractive stars, energetic routines and girl-centric dramas. Just get past the rather tepid sentimental portions,...
