- Les Nordhauser has lent his creative and logistical talents to numerous television and film productions. A prolific producer and avid sportsman, Nordhauser blends his love of adventure with a strong background in visual media.
Nordhauser has a long and impressive list of credits as a writer, director and/or producer in Hollywood, spanning several genres including, features, reality, sitcoms, episodic, game shows and variety and has worked on such shows as "Bone Chillers;"'The Jersey;"'Love Connection;"'American's funniest people;"'Family Rules;"'Steve Harvey HBO Special;"'A Conversation with Robert Clary;"'Worst Case Scenario;' and "A Celebration of Television Music:'
Known for his energetic approach to difficult material, Nordhauser is often called upon to collaborate on projects that require an uncanny ability to mount productions in remote locations of the world under what appears at the onset to be extremely challenging circumstances. It is at those times that he is able to draw from his outdoor skills as a whitewater river rafting guide, ski instructor and ski patrolman. His visual sensibilities were well developed during his early years as an assistant to some of the industry's most successful photographers, which led him to a career as a commercial still photographer.
He is quick to point out that, "I came up through the ranks. Over the years, I've worked in almost every department on a show. Now that I am producing, I find that crewmembers trust my judgment because I speak their language and I understand what it takes to get the job done. The value of those relationships is a huge part of what makes this job worth doing:'
Nordhauser served two terms as Chairman of the Board of the American Association of Producers and also a term as Vice President of Motion Pictures of the Producers Guild of America, where he continues as an Honorary Board Member.
