Artist Roger Minami is now in his third career. He was a renowned
dancer/entertainer who was featured in the film "Annie" as The Asp;
featured on Broadway with Liza Minnelli in "The Act" and was
producer/director on his 14 award winning productions for Merv Griffin
at Resorts International Casino in Atlantic City.
Roger was winner of the Best Male Performer in Las Vegas for three
consecutive years and winner of the Atlantic City Entertainment Awards
on 7 different occasions for his productions at Resorts.
Roger was a featured performer on Dick Clark's daily television show
"Where The Action Is" for two years before going to Las Vegas to be the
star of "Bare Touch Of Vegas" which ran for a record 8 years. Minami
toured the world with Liza Minnelli for two years, performing in all
the capitals of Europe and South America.
Minami has also produced 3 production shows for Sun City in South
Africa and 3 production shows for various venues in Japan. His show for
Paradise Island Casino in the Bahamas ran for four years.
In 1996, Minami decided to give up the hectic pace of show business and
took up residence in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where he has embarked on
his third career... painter.
With homes in Santa Monica, California, Vancouver, and Puerto Vallarta,
he has a varied source of inspiration for his work. His paintings
reflect the color of Mexico combined with the flair of show business
and has provided yet another creative outlet for this multi-talented
man.
