Last night during Disney's 2024 Upfronts presentation, we finally got release dates for Agatha All Along and Daredevil: Born Again, as well as confirmation that Ironheart will debut on Disney+ sometime in 2025.
New logos for the shows were also unveiled, and while teaser trailers were screened for those in attendance, they have not (and likely won't be) released online.
Different versions of the teasers are sure to be officially released before too long, but for now, we have a breakdown of the footage (via IGN).
The Born Again promo sees Matt Murdock don his familiar red costume, as his voiceover warns someone that the "entire system is against you... it's often David vs. Goliath." We then catch glimpses of Kingpin, Foggy Nelson, and Karen Page, and shots from a brief action sequence.
Right at the end, Murdock is asked, "what kind of a lawyer are you." He responds with, "a really good one,...

Following the Agatha All Along reveal, Marvel Studios announced the premiere dates for both Daredevil: Born Again and Ironheart during tonight's Disney Upfronts presentation.
Born Again, which will serve as a relaunch of the cancelled Daredevil Netflix series, is set to hit the streaming service in March of next year. Star Charlie Cox confirmed that the season will run for nine episodes.
Ironheart is also set to premiere in 2025, but an exact date was not revealed.
Marvel screened the first trailers for both shows for those in attendance, but they haven't been released online (and likely won't be for a while). However, we do have updated logos, which you can check out below along with an interview clip (via Deadline).
Charlie Cox on the preparation for coming back to the role of Daredevil for ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ plus, Vincent D’Onofrio and Cox on agreeing on everything in the creative process pic.

When Marvel Studios first announced its WandaVision sequel, it was titled Agatha: House of Harkness. It then switched to Agatha: Coven of Chaos before becoming Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.
Along the way, we've also seen evidence that it could be named Agatha All Along, Agatha: The Witches' Road, and Agnes of Westview, with the prevailing theory being that these are all episode titles and not the official final name of the Disney+ series.
Moments ago, Marvel Studios added another name to the mix by posting a logo to X which features Agatha: The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe.
That's one heck of a title, eh?
We'll see if this one sticks, but it's worth noting that as we write this, the studio has already removed the Tweet/X post in question. It's hard to believe this was sent out by mistake and the more likely possibility is it's yet another part...

Tom Hiddleston’s Loki has been appearing in the speculations & discussions of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine, ever since Tva was confirmed to be a part of the movie. While Hiddleston mentioned in numerous interviews that his 14-year stint with Marvel came to a worthy conclusion in Loki Season 2, he hasn’t denied the Deadpool 3 rumors anywhere.
With his latest cryptic response to a question at ComFest, a popular theory suggests that he is set to appear in the film as a variant.
Tom Hiddleston may appear in Deadpool & Wolverine as one of his variants
Hiddleston’s Loki Laufeyson may appear as the variant known as Avenger Prime. This variant commands all of the Multiversal Avengers from the God Quarry. It makes a lot of sense for this variant to appear in the film and direct the overall MCU story towards the Multiverse Saga finale.

As movies and TV shows have become the dominant mode of superhero storytelling, some comic writers have crossed mediums with the characters they pen. Allan Heinberg wrote a brief run on "Wonder Woman" and years later wrote the screenplay for the 2017 "Wonder Woman" movie. Brian Michael Bendis, the defining Marvel Comics writer of the 2000s, sat on Marvel Studios' now-disbanded "creative committee." James Gunn, as the co-head of DC Studios, has brought writer Tom King into the fold.
"Deadpool & Wolverine," which brings the 20th Century Fox side of Marvel into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is the latest example of this; one of the movie's five credited co-writers is Zeb Wells, who also wrote an episode of "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law." For some Marvel Comic fans, however, his name lives in infamy.
Now, Wells' "X-Men" related work is well-regarded. The 18-issue series "Hellions" was like a mutant version of "Suicide Squad...

Marvel Comics chain-wielding, flaming skull-head biker "Ghost Rider", previously appearing in Sony's live-action movies starring Nicolas Cage, plus a guest arc on ABC's "Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." TV series, continues to generate interest from Marvel Studios, to have the character debut in a big screen 'Marvel Cinematic Universe' feature, preferably to be played by first choice: Ryan Gosling:
"...Marvel Comics first supernatural 'Ghost Rider' is stunt motorcyclist 'Johnny Blaze', who, to save the life of his father, agrees to give his soul to the demon 'Mephisto'.
"At night and when confronted by evil, Blaze finds his flesh consumed by 'hellfire', causing his head to become a flaming skull. He rides a fiery motorcycle and wields blasts of hellfire from his body, usually from his skeletal hands.
"The subsequent 'Ghost Rider' series features 'Danny Ketch' as a new Ghost Rider.

One of my favorite comic book story arcs is the “Rise of the Midnight Sons”, which saw Doctor Strange overseeing the formation of a team of supernatural heroes – Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze, Morbius, the Nightstalkers, and Darkhold characters Vicki Montesi, Louise Hastings, and Sam Buchanan – who were brought together to battle Lilith, the Mother of All Demons, and her evil offspring, the Lilin. There have been different variations of the Midnight Sons over the years, with other team members like Daimon Hellstrom, Jennifer Kale, Werewolf by Night, Man-Thing, The Hood, Doctor Voodoo, Elsa Bloodstone, Moon Knight, Iron Fist, Scarlet Spider, Kushala, Magik, Wolverine, and Nico Minoru coming and going. The latest version of the team was even called the Midnight Suns rather than Sons. Now Cosmic Circus has shared the Rumor that a version of the Midnight Sons might be coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

After a couple of seasonal updates for Diablo IV, Blizzard has finally announced the first expansion for the action RPG with “Vessel of Hatred”. Announced during BlizzCon 2023, the expansion is currently slated for a late 2024 release.
Currently, full details about the “Vessel of Hatred” expansion are still to be released, though Blizzard did drop a few tidbits. The expansion will revolve around players learning the fate of the prime evil Mephisto and his plans for Sanctuary. The new expansion will see players travel to the lush jungles of Nahantu, which no doubt will remind Diablo II vets of the Kurast jungles and its “Mephisto runs”. No word on if we’ll see the return of the Fetish and their blowdarts.
The “Vessel of Hatred” expansion will also “explore fresh ways to play” Diablo IV, which will include a completely new Class that’s “never seen before in the Diablo universe.

It’s been more than 15 years since Oscar-nominated cinematographer and director Lajos Koltai helmed his last film, “Evening” (2007), a poignant meditation on mortality, regret and womanhood that featured a star-studded ensemble cast, including Vanessa Redgrave, Glenn Close, Eileen Atkins and Meryl Streep, and was released domestically by Focus Features.
For his return to the director’s chair, the Hungarian-born filmmaker also returns closer to home with “Semmelweis,” a period biopic drama about a Hungarian doctor who turns the medical establishment on its head in 19th-century Vienna. The film opens the 21st Hungarian Film Festival of Los Angeles, which runs Oct. 27 to Nov. 2 at the Laemmle Monica Film Center.

New copyright information finally confirmed Sacha Baron Cohen’s upcoming role in a Marvel Studios Disney+ series.
Sacha Baron Cohen is known far and wide for his at-times provocative and satirical movies. His film Borat, in particular, was a ubiquitous cultural phenomenon in the mid-to-late 2000s.
The actor/comedian has long been indicated to have accepted an MCU role, with his rumored character in question being none other than Mephisto, essentially the Marvel Universe’s version of the Devil.

In the ever-changing world of video games, where competition is intense and fans’ tastes can shift quickly, one title remains constant: Diablo. It’s a series that can always be relied on for its meaty combat and tasty, expansive lore.
Now, emerging from the legacy of its predecessors, Diablo IV, the latest installment from the long-running franchise, takes center stage. Despite straddling the line between past successes and future challenges, Diablo IV proves once again that the march of time has done little to dull the franchise’s razor-sharp fangs.

After a year, Season 3 of Netflix’s Ultraman is back, and the series ends with the final season, where the protagonist Shinjiro Hayata faces his biggest battle yet. When the Ultraman starts acting way stronger than necessary, he incurs the suspicion of his fellow Ultramen, which leads to the discovery of a major conspiracy. The 12-episode series does a great job of showcasing the problems that heroism involves, along with some amazing action animation. Here’s what happens in the final season of Netflix’s Ultraman.

Mia Goth has been turning heads in the genre world for quite some time. Take a look at our rankings of her work if you don't believe me.
I first took notice of her weirdo turn in the very bizarre and very cool Gore Verbinski flick "A Cure for Wellness" in 2016. Since then she has continued to impress onscreen, recently leading the Ti West series that so far contains "X" and "Pearl," with the final film in the terrifying trilogy, "MaXXXine," due out sometime in the next 12-ish months.
Recently, Goth has been rumored to be involved in a few high-profile projects, including Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein," and now she has another big franchise in front of her. Deadline is reporting that she will be joining Mahershala Ali in Marvel's "Blade" reboot. The details are vague, but Deadline seems pretty confident that she's gonna be the film's co-star.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is now heading into Phase 5, and there’s a lot of speculation as to how Marvel Studios will approach its latest narratives. The way the franchise has previously taken shape has been experimental from the off-set. Marvel’s television department has constantly been in flux, from its status as a separate division producing shows such as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., to additional deals with platforms like Netflix, before Disney+ finally ushered in a new era.
Even now that the MCU’s shows are under the Marvel Studios umbrella, there’s still uncertainty as to what the future may hold. The streaming service has dipped into a range of genres, boasting hits like Moon Knight, Loki and What If…?, but there have also been some missteps along the way. With the advent of the “Special Presentation” in the forms of Werewolf By Night and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special,...

As a child I was fascinated by “Manimal” an old TV series where a man could transform into various creatures. Also, by “Braveheart” a cartoon sheriff with the powers of hawk, wolf, puma, and bear (currently singing that as I write this). So, the concept of a guy revived with martial animal powers caught my attention. With one of the executive producers (Prachya Pinkaew) being the man who brought us Tony Jaa it looked like there could be some potential here. I mean what martial arts movie fan doesn’t mind a bit of Tiger or Monkey Style? Can’t be too bad right???

Sometimes, it feels like Mephisto rumors have been around as long as the ageless Marvel supervillain himself. At the very least, you can count the passage of time by them. Remember when everyone thought Jake Gyllenhaal's character in "Spider-Man: Far From Home" would be Mephisto, only for the character to be revealed as an ex-Stark Industries employee with a grudge? What about when people were convinced Evan Peters' off-brand Pietro would be the demon in disguise in "WandaVision"? /Film's own history with Mephisto hype goes at least as far back as 2014, when we pondered the idea of none other than Al Pacino as the big bad.

Marvel isn't necessarily a name you associate with horror. Sure, the recently-released "Werewolf By Night" on Disney+ and various comic specials like "Marvel Zombies" have dabbled in the genre. However, none of these are particularly scary. It's likely because the brand's bigwigs want to ensure that a specific image is being presented of its vast library of stories and heroes, which isn't unreasonable.
But maybe it's because they allowed that image to be played with once, only to realize that perhaps those responsible for playing around with it took things a bit too far. Maybe you can trace back the squeaky clean nature of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to 2002's "Maximum Carnage," a haunted maze attraction at Universal Orlando Resort's Halloween Horror Nights, which was held at the then-brand-new Islands of Adventure theme park. If that rings a bell for you, it's probably because the attraction shares the name...

Marvel Studios continues to pump out a multitude of content for Disney+ as the streaming service has thrived thanks partly to the superhero originals alongside the “Star Wars” shows from Lucasfilm. While projects like a “Black Panther” spinoff series and a show focused on Avengers member “Wonder Man” are being developed, there’s still much more to come.
Paul Bettany is now expected to reprise the role of Vision one more time as Deadline has revealed that Marvel Studios is developing a “WandaVision” spinoff series titled “Vision Quest” from Jac Schaeffer, the head writer of “WandaVision” and Kathryn Hahn’s “Agatha: Coven of Chaos.”
Hopefully, the series will fill in some blanks and potentially see White Vision attempt to become his former self as Wanda’s fabricated version ceased to exist when she removed her hex at the end of “WandaVision.”

Veteran Canadian-American voice actress Cree Summer has joined the cast of Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart, sources tell Deadline. A rep for Marvel declined comment.
As Deadline reported earlier this month, Sacha Baron Cohen also has been tipped for a role in the series. Since our story ran, there has been further proof that Baron Cohen has joined the MCU, something Marvel and his reps have refused to comment on. I hear he may appear later in Ironheart’s run, with Episodes 5-6 considered likely. In addition to in-person scenes, rumor is that there have been scans for CGI effects, which would indicate a superhero alter ego for Baron Cohen’s character. He is believed to be playing a comic book villain, probably Mephisto.
The six-episode Ironheart, created by Chinaka Hodge, stars Dominique Thorne as Marvel character Riri Williams, a genius inventor and creator of the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man.

This Lord of the Rings article contains spoilers for The Rings of Power.
If you’ve already watched the shocking season 1 finale of The Rings of Power, it should come as no surprise that the Lord of the Rings series has plans to really dig into its main villain when the show returns for a second season. In fact, while speaking to Empire, Halbrand/Sauron actor Charlie Vickers shared that he has already filmed an important sequence that will define a bit of the Dark Lord’s backstory on the series.
“You know how we see Galadriel at the start of Season 1? Part of the sequence that I’ve shot is the early story of Sauron in the next season, and that’s the shot but I’m not gonna go into specifics,” Vickers teases.

The Marvel Studios Disney+ shows have led to more discourse than the movies perhaps ever did. With so many more easter eggs to break down, characters to unravel and settings to explore, it’s no surprise that fans have a diverse range of opinions on what’s happened and what’s coming next. But there’s one figure who seems to have connected almost all of the streaming service’s projects in one way or another; whether as a serious discussion or as a parody playing on a long-running obsession, and that’s Mephisto, a character who’s comic book roots are baked into the fabric of the Marvel Universe, and who has surprisingly never actually been introduced into the MCU itself.
Who the Devil Is Mephisto?
Mephisto is a demonic entity that was introduced in 1968 as part of Issue 3 of The Silver Surfer run.

The MCU is already bracing for the entry of multiverse baddie Kang the Conqueror in “Ant-Man 3” and “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” played by Jonathan Majors (“Creed III“) but it looks like an equally menacing threat is going to be coming to meddle with the superheroes in the near future.
A rumor that was making waves over the weekend is getting some credible backup as Deadline supports rumblings that comedic actor Sacha Baron Cohen (“Borat“) is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the role of Mephisto in “Ironheart.

Marvel fans have been theorizing about the arrival of Mephisto in the MCU for some time, particularly in the WandaVision series. That didn’t come to pass, but it feels like fans have been picking up Mephisto teases ever since. The latest rumour making the rounds is that Sacha Baron Cohen is reportedly in talks to play Mephisto, with the villain apparently making his first appearance in the upcoming Ironheart series.
According to Deadline, sources have confirmed to them that there has been talk of Sacha Baron Cohen joining the cast of Ironheart, likely as Mephisto, but Marvel representatives refused to comment. Whether Sacha Baron Cohen takes on the role of Mephisto or not, I have little doubt that the character will appear one day. Of course, it would be the ultimate Marvel troll if they just continued to tease Mephisto for years to come. It’s expected that Mephisto...

Speculation has been growing that Sacha Baron Cohen has entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a role in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart as a comic book villain.
A source close to the production confirmed to Deadline that there has been talk on the set about Cohen being part of Ironheart, possibly playing Mephisto. Reps for Marvel and Cohen have refused to comment on any Cohen involvement in Ironheart or the larger MCU.
Like with any major Marvel characters, word is that Cohen would appear in other projects. If the Mephisto alter ego is confirmed, that could include the upcoming WandaVision spinoff Agatha: Coven of Chaos as Mephisto had a presence (but was never shown) on the praised mothership series starring Elizabeth Olsen.

Rarely one finds a friend on the Criterion Channel—discounting the parasitic relationship we form with filmmakers, I mean—but it’s great seeing their March lineup give light to Sophy Romvari, the <bias>exceptionally talented</bias> filmmaker and curator whose work has perhaps earned comparisons to Agnès Varda and Chantal Akerman but charts its own path of history and reflection. It’s a good way to lead into an exceptionally strong month, featuring as it does numerous films by Pier Paolo Pasolini, the great Japanese documentarian Kazuo Hara, newfound cult classic Arrebato, and a number of Criterion editions.
On the last front we have The Age of Innocence, Bull Durham, A Raisin in the Sun, The Celebration, Merrily We Go to Hell, and Design for Living. There’s always something lingering on the watchlist, but it might have to wait a second longer—March is an opened floodgate.

This article contains massive Spider-Man: No Way Home spoilers.
It’s generally considered to be the worst Spider-Man story ever written; a contrived and hideous editorial exercise, engineered solely to erase Peter and Mary and Watson Parker’s marriage after 20 years of existence; a four-issue monument to everything that is awful and cynical about comic book storytelling and the laziness of retconning previous events.
One More Day, penned by J. Michael Straczynski, but penciled and truthfully masterminded by then-Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Joe Quesada, is a narrative monstrosity that betrayed everything good about the Peter Parker and Mj characters in service to a woefully misguided commercial decision from upstairs. And it just became the climactic linchpin of Kevin Feige’s first Spider-Man movie trilogy, as well as the cathartic resolution to Spider-Man: No Way Home, the currently best reviewed live-action Spidey flick ever made.
How? What? Why?!

This article contains spoilers for Marvel’s Loki episode 2, “The Variant.”
Marvel’s Loki episode 2, “The Variant” is all about exactly what you think it is: uncovering the mystery of who the murderous Loki variant the Tva is tracking. And the ending of Loki episode 2 does exactly that…or does it?
While we’re certainly meant to believe on first glance that the mysterious and magical woman under the hood is simply a female variant of Loki, and there is plenty of precedent for Loki’s genderfluid nature in the comics, there’s just enough ambiguity (and even a little bit of evidence) to point to the fact that “Lady Loki” might not be “Lady Loki” at all.
But let’s start with the golden-horned elephant in the room, because you might be wondering why there’s a lady version of Loki running around in the first place…

At this point, we've gotten used to scouring Marvel movies and TV shows for even the smallest details that might hint at storylines to come. The first episode of Loki has plenty of these intriguing details, including the appearance of Kablooie gum. Is the gum just a throwaway moment, or does it have something more it's hiding?
The first time we see a pack of Kablooie gum is when Agent Mobius is trying to gain the trust of a girl in 1549 France who is apparently the only witness to one of the crimes against the Time Variance Authority's agents. First, he uses his tablet to make her laugh with a moving doodle of a stick figure, and then he asks her about her teeth, which are tinted blue as if she's been eating blue candy. She hands him a pack of blue gum, which, the label says, is Kablooie gum in "Blooberrie" flavor.

This article contains Loki episode 1 spoilers.
Early on in the first episode of Loki, the new Marvel series streaming on Disney+, Time Variance Authority investigator Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) and several of the Tva’s Hunters are looking into the slaughter of an entire team of Hunters at a French church in the Middle Ages. A small child enters the church, and when Mobius asks him who killed the Hunters, the child points to a stained glass painting on the wall.
The painting is that of a red-fleshed, evil-looking figure with horns. Satan, right? Or is it someone else? Someone named…Mephisto?
Yes, that’s right, Mephisto, who first debuted in Marvel Comics back in 1968, who created Ghost Rider, who erased Spider-Man’s timeline so that he and Mary Jane Watson were never married, who served as Thanos’ right-hand man — that Mephisto, whose presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe...

In support of the Marvel Studios Disney+ sitcom "WandaVision", take a look at the Marvel Comics origins of the love union between the mystical 'Scarlet Witch' and the android known as 'Vision':
"...'Wanda' and 'Vision' fell in love and got married, believing their forbidden love was born out of their individual free will.
"But they soon discovered they were brought together to prevent Wanda from having children by the villain 'Immortus'.
"Immortus believed that if Wanda married a robot, this would prevent her children from shaking the foundations of reality. Wanda did conceive the twins, 'Tommy' and 'Billy'.
"Unfortunately they were created from energy from the dark realm of 'Mephisto'. Mephisto then reabsorbed their energy and the twins ceased to exist.
"At first Wanda’s memory of her children were repressed but once reminded of them, her powers began to spin out of control..."

Has Marvel already solved one of its major Fantastic Four reboot movie problems with the upcoming Disney+ Loki series? The evidence is compelling for sure, as a first trailer for the McU spinoff is haunted by a cloaked figure in various ominous shots, and some are speculating that this will turn out to be none other than Reed Richards’ archenemy, Doctor Doom.
The introduction of Latverian supervillain Victor von Doom does actually make a lot of sense at this point. Despite being a beloved and often despicable character in Marvel Comics, Doom hasn’t quite hit right in previous Fantastic Four films, having been played by Nip/Tuck’s Julian McMahon in both the 2005 Ff movie film and its sequel, and later by Toby Kebbell in Josh Trank’s unfortunate reboot. With yet another reboot on the way under the watchful eye of Marvel maestro Kevin Feige and Spider-Man: Far From Home director Jon Watts,...

Kathryn Hahn’s appearance in the WandaVision trailer was a bit of a surprise, to say the least. We’ve known she was going to be in the show for some time now, but the trailer seemed to give away the game on who she was, and her character is really bad news for Wanda, if the speculation is true. Hahn appears to be playing Agatha Harkness.
Harkness has a somewhat complicated history, par for the course for anyone mentoring a reality manipulator. But reality warpers are something of a specialty for her – her first appearance in the comics wasn’t as part of the Scarlet Witch’s supporting cast. No, she was originally Franklin Richards’ (the son of the Fantastic Four‘s Reed Richards and Sue Storm) governess. Richards, the canonical culprit behind Marvel Time, was a newborn when she was brought in to care for him, and she did so effectively,...

Sam Raimi hasn’t directed a movie since 2013’s Oz the Great and Powerful, focusing more on producing in the interim, but the filmmaker will be remaining in both the blockbuster and Disney business after ending his self-imposed hiatus by stepping in for the departed Scott Derrickson on Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
The Sorcerer Supreme seems like a great fit for Raimi’s sensibilities, and maybe he even feels like he has something to prove after having unfinished business with the comic book genre following the abandonment of his proposed Spider-Man 4 a decade ago. Having recently been pushed back as part of Marvel Studios’ reshuffled Phase Four release schedule, there’s also more time now to come up with the sort of trippy visuals that fans are no doubt expecting from the movie.

I really like the Marvel character Ghost Rider, but unfortunately the two films that have been made starring Nicolas Cage haven’t been that great. I thought the sequel, Spirit of Vengeance, was the better of the two. I enjoyed the insanity of it but it still wasn’t a great or successful movie.
Cage believes that had the films been rated R they would would have been a lot more successful. He even says that if they made an R-rated Ghost Rider film today, he’s confident that it would be a huge success. While talking to Yahoo, the actor said:
“Had Ghost Rider been made in R-rated format, the way they had the guts to do with Deadpool, and they did it again today, I'm fairly certain it would be enormously successful.”
I agree with that to a point. Sure an R-rating would entice the fans to see the movie.

If you’ve been following what Marvel’s been up to for the past year or so, then you know how much fun they’ve been having with the Punisher. Not only has he turned a lot of heads by donning the War Machine armor in his own ongoing series, but he’s also been revealed to be the Cosmic Ghost Rider in Thanos #16.
That’s right, as part of the currently unfolding “King Thanos” storyline, we learn just what led to Frank Castle becoming an intergalactic badass in a possible future. Actually, you can view a good amount of the specifics in the accompanying preview gallery, but let’s recap for a bit, shall we?
Basically, this issue does intend on focusing on Frank’s origin as the Cosmic Ghost Rider – and it does – but, in doing so, it needs to tell us how we got there. What’s...
