Earlier this month, a serial killer thriller called Squealer was given a theatrical and digital release. You can watch the trailer for that one Here. Squealer drew inspiration from the story of Robert Pickton, a Canadian pig farmer who was charged with killing 26 women (but claimed to have killed 49). He would feed the bodies of his victims to the pigs. Just a couple weeks after Squealer made its way out into the world, another serial killer thriller inspired by the Pickton case has arrived in theatres, and you can watch the trailer for this one, which is called Pig Killer, in the embed above.
Pig Killer is currently playing in the following theatres:
Laemmle LA
Film Noir Brooklyn
Reeding Berkeley
Vancouver – Van City Oaks Cinema Center
It will be receiving a VOD and Blu-ray release next week, on November 21st. Copies are available for pre-order on Amazon.

The Lost Boys is a bona fide vampire cinema classic. The 1987 Joel Schumacher movie shows us a gang of perpetually young teenage vampires in a beachside resort and Kiefer Sutherland’s performance in it has become legendary. The CW has been hard at work trying to adapt the movie for television, though right now the project is on hiatus due to quality issues and the Covid-19 pandemic.
But while the TV show might have hit the brakes, the world of The Lost Boys is branching out in other directions. The original movie’s composer G Tom Mac (aka Gerard McMahon) has been developing a prequel Broadway musical called A Lost Boys Story and discussed the project in a new interview with Syfy.
He explained that it fleshes out the backstory of Kiefer Sutherland’s David, who was an orphan in Lithuania and emigrated to the USA. Things seem good for a while,...

Bindi Irwin celebrated her first Halloween on Dancing With the Stars with a perfect score for her Argentine tango with partner Derek Hough to "Cry Little Sister" by Gerard McMann. It was a dance that required the ever-cheerful Bindi to get dark and a little, well, seductive. "What I had to tell her this week, I was like, 'Alright, Bindi. You've done the fun performance, the smiles and all that, I need you to get fierce. And I said 'sexy' and I felt awkward. I immediately retracted that. I was like, 'I can't say that word in front of Bindi. That sounds weird to me,'" Derek told us. He decided on seductive instead of sexy, thankfully, so how did the 17-year-old accomplish...

As Twilight Eclipse prepares to swoop into cinemas, we look back at Joel Schumacher’s 80s vampire classic, The Lost Boys...
With the latest instalment of the Twilight Saga just around the corner, it’s time to remind ourselves of a classic vampire film that influenced many to come after. For me, the greatest alternative to Eclipse this summer is The Lost Boys.
Set in the fictional town of Santa Carla, the story follows two brothers who have recently moved to the sleepy seaside locale. Unbeknownst to them, however, it’s inundated with vampires. When the eldest brother Michael is attracted to a mysterious girl, she leads him to a group of vampires that want him to join them. When Michael starts showing signs of turning into a vampire, it is down to his younger brother Sam to figure out who the head vampire is in order to save him.

Hollywood lost another troubled child star early Wednesday morning, as Corey Haim passed away at his home in Burbank, California. He was 38 years old. Haim made a name for himself as the star of a series of huge teen movies in the 1980s, including "Lucas," "License to Drive" and "The Lost Boys."
Perhaps Haim's most iconic performance came in 1989's "Dream a Little Dream," which also starred Piper Laurie, Jason Robards and friend and regular collaborator Corey Feldman. "Dream a Little Dream" also featured the hit single "Rock On" on its soundtrack, which was delivered by soap opera star Michael Damian and featured both Coreys in the music video. The track, originally written and released by David Essex in 1974, topped the Billboard Hot 100 for a week in 1989, sandwiched between Paula Abdul's "Forever Your Girl" and "Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler. The clip quickly became an MTV staple.

I'm on this True Blood kick tonight... Anyway, G Tom Mac (aka Gerard McMann), the artist responsible for the memorizing track 'Cry Little Sister' from 1987 beach immortal vampire film The Lost Boys, has remade his legendary single for the newly popular HBO series. McMann puts the soul of Louisiana into the remake and there is even a video release by HBO on Youtube (read on to hear the song and see the video). However, I am not impressed with the remake. McMann still has the voice after 20 years but the lyrics just don't mix well with the bayou blues. What do you think? Does it work well with the series?...

Last month at Vampire-Con in L.A., Fango's Pat Jankiewicz reported on a special presentation (read it here) of a new music video for G Tom Mac's famous Lost Boys anthem, "Cry Little Sister."
Tonight, Fango heard from Gerard McMann (aka G Tom Mac) with said video in tow. Inspired by (and used for) HBO's hit series True Blood, "Cry Little Sister (Swamp Version)" is a fresh and bluesy take on the song, and you can check out the full clip below the jump.
Starting Monday, September 14, the track will be available as a digital single via iTunes and CD Baby. The video was helmed by Anthony Cappello with Paolo Cascio as the Director of Photography, and was edited by Phillip Lindsey & Daniela Pistone.
True Blood will air it's season finale tomorrow night on HBO. From some fresh comments from the cast, click here!

Our pal Christopher Campbell has put together a pretty cool top ten list over at Spout Blog. Inspired by the frenzy surrounding Paramore, who has been fortunate enough to land two songs on the Twilight soundtrack, he's put together a list of one hit wonders made by the movies. As memorable (and impossible to eradicate from easy listening stations) as Lookin' For Love, King of Wishful Thinking, and Stay (I Missed You) are, they're really just that one song from that one movie -- you know the one ... yeah, that movie! (By the way, the above three are from Urban Cowboy, Pretty Woman, and Reality Bites, respectively.)
The best thing about these lists is the debate they inspire. I disagree that Chris Isaak's Wicked Game fits the mold, as I think it's associated less with Wild at Heart than with a sandy and sexy Helena Christensen. In coming up with nominations of our own,...
