It’s official, everyone: we’ve reached peak buddy cop. It feels odd (if not downright tone-deaf) that, in a political atmosphere irreparably altered by enraging accounts of police brutality and corruption, major networks are continuing to turn the handle on an endless stream of derivative cop dramas, but here we are, swamped by a deluge of shows about unlikely-cum-predictable partnerships between vets and rookies, cops and robbers, straight-shooters and wild cards, grumpy curmudgeons and sunny optimists, tattooed amnesiacs and gruff soldiers, pill-enhanced brainiacs and normal sidekicks, and just about every other odd-couple pairing you can imagine.
But can we finally plead uncle and put an end to this epidemic of cop shows after Fox’s Second Chance? In basic network television’s most ludicrous twist on the buddy cop genre potentially ever, this funky-as-all-hell yet unquestionably rotting corpse of a sci-fi drama...

Tonight marks the end of White Collar following a six season run on USA Network. Series star Tim McKay believes that "fans will be very satisfied." He told TV Guide, "There are twists and there is a big shocking moment that is profound, but the fans will understand why that moment needed to be there."
It's a bitter-sweet occassion for DeKay but he notes, "If you are missing something, it's because you're thankful for it, and that's what I've been walking away with; realizing how thankful I am for these six seasons that we had. Because we knew it was the final season, we were fortunate to have some time to think about the value of it and how much meaning it had in our lives... It was a great ride."
What do you think? Is White Collar ending at the right time? Are you...

Debate! The Good Wife and Scandal both abruptly killed off a major character. Which recent shocking TV death was better? The Daily Beast says Good Wife provided a lesson in what a perfect Omg moment looks like , but Vulture took a different view and called it a betrayal to the characters. Vulture’s pro-Scandal argument: The political drama’s big surprise was a moment built on weeks of character choices and one that went on to further define the characters.
“…and they made it look like a carjacking?”
The people behind the Creation Museum think Cosmos is being unfair by not giving time to discuss creationism. I believe that will come after the segment about the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
EW has more details on the next season of American Horror Story. Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Frances Conroy and Angela Bassett are all set to return, while Denis...

"Lost Souls" was a creepy thriller that even persuaded a skeptic like me to ponder the possibility of a very unscientific option.
Much like Megan, I took one look at crazed Rebecca and thought her death was caused by a drug overdose, although my first guess was Pcp. The girl broke her own arm, for goodness sake. But when the toxicology screen came back clean, I was stumped.
I never truly believed she had been possessed by the devil, even when the nurse swore the room turned several degrees colder when Rebecca entered. Our minds are incredibly powerful things and at times are capable of twisting reality to fulfill our beliefs and fears.
It's not that I don't believe that other worldly possibilities can exist. I simply have faith that 99% of the time there's a more logical explanation.

Two of the best shows on cable return this week. They are White Collar and Royal Pains. Both shows have built a loyal fan base over the years, and each show has shown improvement year after year. Matt Bomer is the star of White Collar and Mark Feuerstein has the lead in Royal Pains but it is the supporting casts that make these shows truly special.
White Collar is finishing its third season with these new episodes and has already been renewed for a fourth. When the show ended in August, FBI Agent Peter (Tim McKay) was distraught over the kidnapping of his wife Elizabeth (Tiffani Thiessen). He blamed Neil (Bomer), his criminal associate, fully responsible. Now Peter and Neil have to join forces and find Elizabeth before it is too late.
The investigative partnership between Peter and Neil is great. They play well off each other and the fact...

HollywoodNews.com: Yeah, I know the USA Network series White Collar is a very well-done show with a tremendously talented cast.
But the main attraction is, of course, Matt Bomer!
We love this guy!
Well, we’re going to plenty more of the impossibly handsome Matt because it’s just been announced that USA Network has renewed White Collar for a fourth season.
The cable network has ordered 16 episodes of the series in which Matt plays con man Neal Caffrey who now works as a consultant to the FBI. The series also stars Tim McKay, Tiffani Thiessen, Willie Garson and Hilarie Burton.
Production on the fourth season will start in 2012. Meanwhile, White Collar returns with six new episodes – the second half of it’s third season – in January.
