The son of reggae legend Bob Marley has defended his decision to publish a controversial book about his late father. Ky-Mani Marley tried to delay the release of "Dear Dad: Where's the Family in Our Family, Today?" after realizing it could upset his relatives, but the tome hit shelves in February, to mark what would have been his father's 65th birthday.
The book's cover boasts it contains the "story the Marley family apparently didn't want you to know". But Marley took issue with his publishing firm over the claim and on Tuesday, February 16, his editor Farrah Gray agreed to pull the tagline from the book's second edition.
And Marley has now spoken out about the controversy surrounding the expose. In a post on his MySpace page, he writes, "The book was not an attack on my family. I love my brothers and sisters more than anyone can know."...

After he reigned over Billboard Hot 100 in 2007 with "This Is Why I'm Hot" off debut album "Music Is My Savior" but failed to re-capture the same success with his next single, rapper Mims is often considered as one-hit wonder. In a bid to prove that it is not true, he is back with another studio album "Guilt".
Mims has just dropped the new record in U.S. on April 7. On the same day the album arrived in stores, he held a listening party taking place at Citrine, which is located in the heart of Chelsea, with DJ Shogun of Headshell Ltd. serving behind turntable.
Prior to the album's outing, Mims has released "Move (If You Wanna)", the first single off the new album, in October 2008, and debuted a music video for the song in February this year. On April 14, he will perform the track, which currently is at number 11 on Billboard Hot Rap Tracks chart,...

Hot on the heels of his new album's release, Mims exclusively shares to AceShowbiz about "a couple of records out of the album." Among the songs he thinks people should know are "One Day" and "Chasing Sunshine", both which are available to stream on his MySpace.
Speaking about "One Day" where he teams up with Bob Marley's son, Ky-Mani Marley, Mims says, "The one you need to think about this record is I don't really consider it as Hip-Hop record. I just consider it as something that is appealing to the masses." He adds, "It's gonna be something that hits everybody."
As for "Chasing Sunshine", which samples Marco Bosco's song "If I Don't Have You", Mims reveals that the song is fully arranged by orchestra. He states, "Shout out to Marco Bosco who actually did this record, it was arranged by orchestra, fifteen piece orchestra."
