Actor Kevin Spacey has signed on to star as the lead character in Jonas Pate’s upcoming drama “Shrink,” according to Variety.
The film, which is already in production, centers on a shrink whose clients are primarily Hollywood stars. Also on board of the project are Keke Palmer, Gore Vidal, Mark Webber and Robin Williams.
Additionally, the shrink is going through a harsh phase himself as he spends most of his time smoking pot and not caring about his looks. And when it couldn’t get any worse, he decides he’s lost his ability to helo his clients.
Spacey was last seen on the big screen in Robert Luketic’s crime drama “21.” He also appeared in TV’s movie event “Recount.”
Spacey as a pot-smoking shrink? Sounds a bit like Ben Kingsley’s character in the upcoming comedy “The Wackness.” I kind of can see Spacey master this type of role,

Katherine Heigl has signed on to star in the big-screen adaptation of Carolyn Jessop’s memoir “Escape,” according to Variety.
In her book, Jessop recounts her childhood in the polygamist sect of the Fundamentalist Church of Latter Day Saints. At the age of 18, she was forced into a marriage with a 50-year-old man; at age 35, she fled with her eight children.
Jessop is also known for testifying against polygamist sect leader Warren Jeffs.
Heigl rose to fame after starring opposite Seth Rogen in Judd Apatow’s “Knocked Up.” She recently starred in Anne Fletcher’s romantic comedy “27 Dresses” and will next be seen in Robert Luketic’s “The Ugly Truth.”
I have to admit I always look forward to seeing Katherine Heigl on the screen. There’s just something about her that makes her an utterly likeable actress. She even managed to pull off a charming performance in the weak “27 Dresses.

Director Robert Luketic was left red-faced after turning up to Jennifer Lopez's wedding in casual shorts and flip-flops.
In an effort to keep the event unpublicised, Lopez told guests invited to her 2004 nuptials to singer Marc Anthony the event was an "afternoon party".
And the manoeuvre worked - as filmmaker Luketic, who directed Lopez in Monster-in-Law, was clueless as to the gathering's actual purpose.
He recalls, "She told me it was a barbecue because she didn't want anyone to know about it.
"Being the nice Aussie boy I am, I thought I'd bring a bit of Byo (bring your own alcohol) and wear my summer clothes. I turned up to this mansion on Mulholland, walked in the living room and all her family and everyone was there.
"I remember storming into the bedroom and saying, 'You told me it was a barbecue,' as J-Lo was slipping into her wedding dress."
