- Ray Lloyd has enjoyed a very successful career in the sports and entertainment industry for over thirty years. He is best known as "Glacier" in the world of Professional Wrestling.
The first "Blood Runs Cold" vignette aired on Episode dated 4 May 1996 (1996). The Glacier gimmick was based on the character Sub-Zero from the video game Mortal Kombat (1992). Glacier was supposed to debut in July. Hulk Hogan's heel turn at WCW Bash at the Beach (1996) and the launch of the New World Order pushed everything else, including Glacier, onto the back burners. Glacier debuted in August, which wouldn't have been so bad except for the fact that his enemies, Mortis (Chris Kanyon), Wrath (Bryan E. Clark II) and manager James Vandenberg (James Mitchell), had their debuts pushed back even further, to WCW Uncensored (1997) in March 1997. This meant that Glacier was out there for months with no storyline, no feud and, ultimately, no reason for the fans to care about him. His elaborate, expensive entrance and his tendency to at times miss with his Cryonic Kick finishing move didn't help either.
Throughout his career, he has held several national and international titles. On December 28th, 2001 Lloyd fulfilled a childhood dream by winning the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) World Tag Team titles. Lloyd continues to be active in the Pro Wrestling industry and is co-owner of one of the top Pro Wrestling Training Centers' in the country - The "One Fall Power Factory" in Atlanta, Ga.
Lloyd has also enjoyed tremendous success as a TV & Film actor. He's appeared on several popular television shows such as "Burn Notice & "Tyler Perry's "Meet the Browns", and can be seen in the feature films "Loaded Dice" and "Attack of the "Morningside Monster". Outside of the Sports & Entertainment world, Lloyd has also earned a Master's Degree in Health & Physical Education (with emphasis on Exercise Science) from Valdosta State University.
His other accomplishments include serving as an ongoing panelist and industry advisor for the Entertainment Business Degree programs (Bachelor & Masters) at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida, and is a Producer on an action adventure / sci-fi feature film project.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Ray Lloyd
