A scene from Discovery Channel’s ‘Mud Wild’
Discovery Channel’s adding Mud Wild, America’s Backyard Gold, Caught! Wild and Weird America, and Eye of the Storm to its lineup during the first half of 2024. Big Little Brawlers and Hustlers Gamblers Crooks debuted earlier this month, and Vegas Tow and a still-untitled series about survivalists in South America round out the new shows premiering soon.
“Each of our new series are character-driven stories that tap into America’s mainstream obsessions,” said Howard Lee, President of Discovery Networks. “These shows will connect with our audiences as they are grounded in authentic lifestyles where people live out their passions to find success.”
The network released the following descriptions for its slate of new shows:
America’S Backyard Gold: There’s an estimated $3 trillion in gold still waiting to be found in America — and there’s no need for expensive equipment and huge investment to get it.

Earlier this year, Discovery Channel introduced a major twist to its long-running reality series Naked and Afraid. The new spinoff Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing pitted 12 experienced survivalists against each other in a 45-day, multiphase challenge. Adding an element of competition – and a $100,000 prize – to Naked and Afraid didn’t go over well with everyone. But the show was a hit with viewers. So, will the show return for another season? Here’s what we know.
Discovery Channel renewed ‘Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing’ for season 2 Steven, Waz, and Dan in ‘Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing’ | DIscovery
Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing will return to Discovery Channel for season 2. The network announced the renewal in mid-July, ahead of the season 1 finale, which saw Waz Addy go home with the six-figure prize.

We have a lot to learn about the upcoming season of Sister Wives, but we know the reality TV series about a polygamist family will look vastly different than when the show premiered in 2010. When the series began, Kody Brown had four wives. Now, the former polygamist has one wife and three exes. Those three exes are no longer committed to Kody but certainly appear to be committed to the continuation of Sister Wives. Filming rumors hint at exactly how the series will move forward following the dramatic dismantling of the family. TLC seems interested in splitting filming among multiple locations

Thirteen years ago, “Sister Wives” shocked viewers when it debuted on TLC, following the ins and outs of the polygamist Brown family — Kody Brown, his four wives, Robyn, Meri, Janelle and Christine, and their 18 children. Viewers flocked to the screen.
“We needed to be heard, polygamous people,” Christine says now. “We wanted people to know that we’re just regular people who are just doing our best to raise kids and have a big, great, awesome, happy family.”
Howard Lee, president of Discovery Networks and TLC, recalls the first time he saw the non-traditional Brown family. “We knew we had something special,” he says. “It was completely different from anything that we all consider what defines family.”
It’s that difference that keeps viewers returning, he says. “It’s endlessly watchable to see how one man and his four wives navigate each of their relationships. It was just so incredibly...

Interior designer Melanie Rose specializes in something very intimate and unique in the home renovation space: She designs sex rooms. Remember Tommy Lee’s dream of a boudoir playground in “Pam & Tommy,” and how the racy redesign led to his sex tape being stolen? That’s what Rose does for a living — well, except she doesn’t steal her clients’ personal belongings.
When she’s not planning other folks’ bedrooms, Rose is in her own home writing a series of erotic novels based on that career. It was under the guise of pitching those books as a scripted series that her manager approached Adam Sher, president of ITV America. But Sher had another idea: Why not turn her life and work into a TV-ma-rated reality show?

When it comes to ghost stories focused on haunted houses my personal favourites are The Haunting and The Legend of Hell House, the psychological scares make them genuinely creepy and most importantly effective. The Haunting of Radcliffe House (also known as Altar) which has recently been released on DVD makes an attempt to scare its audience in classic ways, is it be effective?
When Meg Hamilton (Olivia Hamilton) is asked to renovate Radcliffe Hall she moves her family, including artist husband Alec (Matthew Modine) into the house while she works on it. As she discovers more about the house though including the revelation of a secret room in the attic things gradually push Meg to decide to move out of the house.
