Jack Lazare(1922-2006)

Jack Lazare was primarily an East Coast radio personality during the
heyday of the Big Bands and the early days of rock and roll; for a
number of years, he was the host of the "Milkman's Matinee" on WNEW
radio in New York City. After studying communications at Berkeley,
Lazare served in the U.S. Navy as a fighter pilot during World War II,
and served as executive director for programming for the Voice of
America before entering on his radio career. He was also, for a time,
the New England representative of the Screen Actors Guild.
