He won 3 Golden Reel awards for his work with "Family Guy".
After College, he joined the Coast Guard and learned how to fly.
He grew up in Petaluma, California and was the Valedictorian of his graduating class.
Growing up in the big band era, he was a fan of Stan Kenton.
Also an avid sports fan, he played on both Baseball and Football teams.
While still in School he also played with the Sonoma County Symphony.
His middle initial stands for Myron after his Uncle Myron who was also a pilot.
Unfortunately, Uncle Myron died young when his plane crashed.
Douglas was born exactly one year to the date of his death.
His last project was working on a musical he composed called "Fan Tan King" written by C.Y. Lee.
He went with the Music Department to Moscow to record the score for "Police Academy - Mission to Moscow".
During High School he played in Marching Bands.

He worked in the Music Department of "Freedom Road" starring Muhammed Ali and both passed away in 2016.
He used a stainless steel bowl from his own kitchen to create the sound effects
of Hot Dogs expanding the walls of the Barbeque for a Ball Park Franks commercial.
