- Brian Kennedy was born on October 12, 1966 in Belfast, Ireland. He is an actor and composer, known for Adventureland (2009), Intermission (2003) and When a Man Loves a Woman (1994).
- He sang for Bill Clinton at a fund-raiser in 2000.
- He sang backup and toured with Van Morrison.
- One of the first Irish songs he ever learnt to sing was Carrick Fergus. Kennedy likes to tell the story of singing the song with Bill Clinton at a dinner party at Fifth Avenue, New York. "And he knew every single word."
- His brother, Bap Kennedy, also sings.
- Performed at The Gershwin Theatre in New York to sell-out audiences as part of "Riverdance on Broadway."
- It is a minor miracle I'm a singer at all. My parents didn't sing. There was no music in the house at all. I think singing is something that chooses you.
