After Monday night’s performances, The Voice fans are raging about the release of one singer. While all of the knockouts were tense, one in particular has fans angry about the loss of this amazing talent.
The Voice Kicks Off The Knockouts
During the Monday edition of The Voice, the coaches: John Legend, 45, Dan Smyers, 36, Shay Mooney, 32, Reba McEntire, 69, and Chance The Rapper, 30, didn’t get fans’ full approval. The coaches were preparing their team members for knockouts with Keith Urban as a Mega Mentor. Furthermore, tensions were running high since the knockouts pitted two contestants against one another to determine who would continue to the playoffs. Once the singers perform a cover of a hit song, the coaches make their selection of who advances. The other singer has a chance for one of the other coaches to scoop them up. But if not stolen, the singer is eliminated.

About 20 years ago, Adrian Quesada was driving at night in his home base of Austin, Texas, when he heard something that made him turn up the volume: “Esclavo y Amo,” a psychedelic love song recorded in the 1970s by the Peruvian combo Los Pasteles Verdes.
“I had never heard anything like it,” recalls Quesada, the prolific multi-instrumentalist, founder of Black Pumas, and former member of Grupo Fantasma. “It sounded like a sample from a hip-hop song.”

Amid the chaos that was 2019, the show business industry lost some major players. There were icons of the big screen and TV, along with such legends as Broadway director Harold Prince and actress Carol Channing; singers Eddie Money, Ric Ocasek and José José; musicians Peter Tork, Ginger Baker and Dr. John; and composers Michel Legrand, André Previn and Jerry Herman, to name just a few of the year’s high-profile passings.
Hollywood also lost groundbreaking directors, unforgettable writers, and executives.
Familiar actors who left us this year include Robert Forster, Luke Perry, Katherine Helmond, Rutger Hauer, Jan-Michael Vincent, Arte Johnson, Rip Torn, Diahann Carroll, Peter “Chewbacca” Mayhew, Cameron Boyce, Bob Einstein, Seymour Cassel, Michael J. Pollard and Danny Aiello.

All eyes were on singer Rosalia at the 20th annual Latin Grammy Awards held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Thursday night (Nov. 14). The Spanish flamenco singer took home the award for album of the year and best recording package for “El Mal Querer,” as well as Best Urban Song for her collaboration with J Balvin on “Con Altura.”
“Thank you to the Academy for giving me one of the first opportunities a few years ago,” she said from the stage. ” I also want to share this as a musician. There is nothing that makes you prouder than winning a Grammy. It’s the biggest thing that can happen to an artist.”
Alejandro Sanz, who had the most nominations going into the show, also picked up three Latin Grammys: record of the year and best pop song for “Mi Persona Favorita,” as well as long form music video.

Treading Water is a modern-day fairytale complete with hero and heroine, seemingly insurmountable obstacles, a fairy godfather (of sorts) and an unexpected all-dancing / all-swimming finale.
Mica (Douglas Smith) faces a number of challenges. He’s grown up in a house that’s actually a museum celebrating the renowned Mexican crooner Guillermo Garibai (Gonzalo Vega). Mica’s mother Sophie (Ariadna Gil) is the guardian and tour guide of this wildly over-the-top shrine. And then there’s the fact that Mica smells like fish…
Mother and son are both too much (or not enough) for Mica’s father Richard (Don McKellar), who ends up abandoning them. No one around Mica, not even his therapist Catherine (Carrie-Anne Moss), is able to get him on track, until his childhood crush Laura (Zoë Kravitz) swims back into his life. For the first time in his life he feels happy, but Mica ends up losing her as well.
