- According to a 1987 interview in the Los Angeles Times, she credits Elvis with saving her life. After filming the cabana scene in Jailhouse Rock (1957), Holden went to her trailer. As Elvis walked by he noticed that the trailer was on fire and the fire had blocked the door. When he yelled for help, several crew members rushed over and got her out of the burning trailer.
- After being fired by her studio, she was an aspiring rock and roll singer, had four children, and made tapestries while living in Oregon for ten years. She also acted in a few plays at Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga Canyon, near Los Angeles.
- Reportedly was fired by her studio after she turned down a role in The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin (1954). She never acted on-screen again.
