After university, he worked as a plasterer with Paul Whitehouse. After working in the house shared by Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie they were inspired to have a go at comedy.
Announced as the fifth author of original James Bond
novels. He will tell the story of a younger Bond, a teenager just about
to start his studies at Eton. (April 2004)
Is a novelist, some of his books being; Getting Rid of Mr Kitchen, King
of the Ants, and more recently a series about a young James Bond during
his time at Eton.
Attended the University of East Anglia where he studied American and
English Literature and met his future co-star in the Fast Show Paul
Whitehouse.
Enjoys gardening.
Charlie used to front a band called the Higsons quite some years before
the Fast Show
Lives in North London with his wife, Vicky (a graphic
designer) and their three sons. (August 2005)
Is a fan of singer 'Stephen Lynch' after seeing him perform live while
visiting a series of comedy clubs in the US.
