Flew a B-24 four engine bomber & crew to Italy; Completed 56 bombing
missions over Northern Italy, Germany and Yugoslavia during WWII,
earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with three oak
leaf clusters.
Acted opposite Nancy Reagan at Coach House Summer Theater in
1940.
"Watch Mr. Wizard" received a Peabody Award in 1954.
Graduated from LaCrosse State Teacher's College in LaCrosse, WI in
1940; obtained degrees in English and General Science.
He worked as an actor and radio writer before starting "Watch Mr.
Wizard" in Chicago on NBC.
