After slipping from its initial June 6th release date, the Vita version of Supermassive Games' Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock is coming this Tuesday to Psn.
According to a PlayStation Blog post by BBC producer Simon Harris, the extra time has allowed their team to work in Vita-specific controls allowing for tap and touch functionality during the game's puzzles alongside the traditional button/thumbstick combination. The Vita version will also include Sony's "Continuation Play" function which allows you to start a game on one device, save your progress to the cloud, and continue playing on another.

Doctor Who: The Adventure Games has been shelved by the BBC. Executive producer Simon Harris said that the firm will now focus on other Doctor Who game projects instead. "Right now there are no current plans to develop any more Adventure Games, so [The Eternity Clock] is the next Doctor Who gaming exercise and we're doing other things," he told Digital Spy. "Obviously we've got the browser-based Mmo Doctor Who: Worlds In Time, we have other plans for other platforms and formats and we'll be announcing those. "But right now The Adventure Games have done a great job, and they've been done, we're now going to move forward with the The Eternity Clock and we'll continue to develop those plans as we go ahead." Harris added that the BBC will continue to look into offering (more)...

Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock will offer Continuation Play and downloadable content, BBC Worldwide has revealed. The Vita version will offer a number of unique features, including Near support and save sharing between platforms, which tied into Sony's vision of "console quality gaming" in the mobile space. "We have some unique Vita features that we feel really enhance the Doctor Who fan stuff," executive producer Simon Harris told Digital Spy. "We're using the Gps feature Near, so there's a whole mini-game, almost, around Doctor Who medals, where you can tag geographic locations and then other people with the game on Vita can come and grab medals from you." The Vita version will also offer front and back touch and SixAxis control inputs. Also revealed was downloadable content, which will arrive within a "few (more)...

The upcoming SuperMassive Games release is surprisingly a sidescrolling platformer.
Over on the Playstation blog, Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock Executive Producer for BBC Worldwide Simon Harris has laid out some additional more information about a game that's taking a very unexpected shape. The bulk of the post is about how BBC Worldwide collaborated with SuperMassive Games in integrating the monsters from the series into Eternity Clock, and while no specifics about the gameplay itself are revealed, the newest trailer gives you more than enough of a sense of what's going on with this upcoming release.
Based on some of the information in the post, it's clear that Eternity Clock hasn't been in development too long—Harris says at one point that the game's designers required details about some of the creatures appearing in the most recent series, including the Silence (pictured at the top) who were introduced at the beginning of the 2011 series.

Blue are hitting the promo trail hard, trying to raise their profile and increase their chances of victory at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
The hunky manband will be representing the UK at the competition in Düsseldorf later this month, with their latest single ‘I Can.’
The song was written before they were asked to take part in Eurovision, and Blue have previously described it as “a mix of pop, anthem and typically Blue sounding”.
