Bernard Gordon was born on October 29, 1918 in New Britain, Connecticut, USA. He was a writer and producer, known for Horror Express (1972), Zombies of Mora Tau (1957) and Cry of Battle (1963). He was married to Jeannette Lewin. He died on May 11, 2007 in Hollywood Hills, California, USA.
He was subpoenaed to testify before the House Un-American Activities
Committee. He was never called, but an acquaintance named him before
the committee, and he was fired from a studio and blacklisted.
Led the protest against the honorary Oscar awarded to director Elia Kazan
in 1999.
