"wallpaper" or being "painted into a scene" with little more to do than
saying "yes, boss" or "no, boss."
Gorcey sometimes used his mother's maiden name, Condon, as his stage name because he didn't want people to think he was riding on the coat tails of his more
famous brother, Leo.
