Christopher Gegax
- Producer
- Director
- Cinematographer
A native of Burnsville, Minnesota, Gegax performed in plays throughout
high school, then an interest in Super-8 and video cameras led to
making short movies with friends. From that point on he was hooked on
telling stories through film. He's driven forklift in a warehouse,
washed cars, bussed tables, mowed lawns, been a disc jockey, sold
records, parked cars, and produced industrial videos, but Gegax always
had movies on the brain. Going on to graduate from Minneapolis
Community College's Filmmaking Program, in the early 90s Gegax moved
to Los Angeles and worked for R. B. Davies, Inc., a production company
that produced EPK's for films like "Tango and Cash" and "Dolores
Claiborne." Later Gegax worked in development at Orion Pictures under
Director David Anspaugh ("Hoosiers," "Rudy"). In 1997 he founded Signal
Pictures, a production company specializing in filmed entertainment.
Gegax lives in Minneapolis with his wife and daughters.
