- Eddie Garcia was born on May 2, 1929 in Juban, Sorsogon, Philippines. He was an actor and director, known for Atsay (1978), Saan nagtatago ang pag-ibig? (1987) and Bwakaw (2012). He died on June 20, 2019 in Makati, Philippines.

- Reduced his talent fee by 60 percent if the producer is Viva Films. It was his payback to Viva for reviving his stint as film director when he was hired to direct P.S. I Love You (1981) which starred Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion.
