An author of fantasy fiction, Frost happily embraced the title of "Savage Humanist" when writer Fiona Kelleghan proposed to edit an anthology of like-minded fiction authors. His story, "The Madonna of the Maquiladora," was placed first in that anthology ("The Savage Humanists," published by Robert J. Sawyer Books in 2008). The book collects stories by his colleagues and friends, John Kessel, Tim Sullivan, Connie Willis, Kim Stanley Robinson, Robert J. Sawyer, James Patrick Kelly, Jonathan Lethem, and James Morrow.
Frost has been a popular attendee at the Sycamore Hill Writers' Conference.
Novelist and short story author of fantasy, horror and science fiction; has also worked as a television documentary researcher.
