He directed some episodes of Dawson's Creek and they dated for a couple of years (1999 and 2000, I believe). She was 18/19 and he was 27/28. He was going to direct a stupid script she co-wrote with some friends about these Nevada prostitues, but I guess they broke up before it was filmed. Thank goodness! She also dated Michael Showalter (The Baxter) and now with Heath Ledger (BBM). She's obviously really into on set romances. A real user.
