Keeira Lyn Ford is an American actress, writer, singer and songwriter. Her mother is Italian and Irish and her father is from African American and Native American descent. As a small child she won hundreds of trophies in beauty pageants before she was discovered on stage by a Hollywood talent agency. After auditioning for Disney she landed her first role on the sitcom "Adventures in Wonderland" in which she played "Little Red Queen." When Keeira's mother came to pick her up from an after school program, the coordinator told her of Keeira's singing talent. Being a single mom, Keeira's mother sold her house and moved near Los Angeles to help Keeira pursue the entertainment industry.
Country music was introduced to Keeira when she booked a McDonald's commercial with Garth Brooks and she listened to all of his music the night before meeting him on the set. She started performing country music in talent competitions where she met Joe Jackson, Michael Jackson's father. He set her up to sing at Neverland Ranch, to record songs at their famous studio in Encino, CA and attend multiple music award shows.
Keeira went on to book several national commercials, independent films and recurring roles on sitcoms such as "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper" and "My Wife and Kids" starring in an episode with Shaquille O'Neal. She received Best Actór from Expresión en Corto International Film Festival for her dramatic lead role in "The Summoning."
Jennifer Lopez acknowledged her on American Idol when she told Keeira she was "Great enough to go global" as she got all three yes's to go through the Hollywood rounds. She starred in the longest running country showdown "The Texaco Country Showdown" on Fox network, filmed at the Ryman Auditorium and hosted by LeAnn Rimes. Placing sixth on season two of "Can You Duet" on CMT, country music icon Vince Gill took notice of her skills and had her join his tour to sing a duet with him.
After graduating from high school, Keeira earned her degree from Arizona State University in Film and Media Studies. She also credits Amy Lyndon as an acting coach. Some of her familial musical influences include her maternal grandmother, Mary Savina Giacci, who sang for the USO ships in World War II and Keeira's father, Kenneth "Buzzard" Ford, who is the baritone sax player for rock and roll legend Little Richard.
