- His theatre credits include: various roles in "The Knight of the Burning Pestle" by Francis Beaumont (Aldwych Theatre, London, 1981)
- (July 2014) Author of "Gatsby at Trinity" -the story of Gatsby's rewarded time at Oxford University after leaving the army in 1918
- (1985 - 2005) His plays have been produced professionally in Edinburgh and London, and he has authored film-scripts on general release. His novel, Gatsby at Trinity, was published in 2017 and was adapted as a play in Oxford in 2019. All profits go to Trinity College.
- (1987) He was elected as a councillor in Kensington and Chelsea and stood for parliament in Plymouth Devonport - 15,000 votes but unelected.
