- TriviaNorman Lear's CBS-TV comedy-pilot and series "All In The Family" was produced and video-taped at the Hollywood CBS Television City studios. CBS' art department manager Robert Tyler Lee assigned his # 1 assistant production designer Don Roberts to the Lear pilot and subsequent series. Norman Lear's Tandem Productions, in the early-70s, was moved from the CBS Television City studios, where the "All In The Family" series was in production, to the Sunset Boulevard KTTV Studios' facility, where Norman Lear established his Tandem-TAT Communications' production offices. Don Roberts accepted Norman Lear's offer to join his creative production operation. Roberts quit his staff CBS network employment position, joining the Lear production unit, as supervising head of the Tandem-TAT Communications' Art Department. Don Roberts, as the managerial art department supervisor assembled a group of drafting, model builders, scenic designers, set decorators as assistant art director personnel. Jane Mansbach's initial career began in Don Roberts' Tandem-TAT art department, serving in positions as both a set dresser, set decorator and as an assistant art director. Jane, part of the team of personnel, was placed on various Norman Lear television properties and projects - as the supervising art department wizard Don Roberts - deemed to assign. When Jane Mansbach married a Mister Fletcher in the early '80s, Jane officially dropped her last name - adding the moniker "Fletcher" - where she officially and professionally - became - "Jane Fletcher".
