Brisbane, Oct 31 – Robin Gibb, co-founder of the Bee Gees, will continue his tour of Australia and New Zealand, despite undergoing major surgery six weeks ago.
His sister, Lesley Evans of the Blue Mountains in Nsw, said on Friday that Gibb, 60, was adamant the shows must go on after he was operated on in England.
She said Gibb had suffered a twisted bowel – the same condition his twin brother Maurice died of in the Us in 2003, aged 53.
“Maurice was left for ages in the Us when he was suffering the symptoms and died of a twisted bowel followed by a heart attack,” the Brisbane Times quoted her as saying.
“Luckily Robin was operated on very quickly in England or he might have ended.
