While it’s much easier to gather with family this year, that doesn’t mean we can’t uphold some well-worn holiday traditions, like settling in on the couch with some hot cocoa to watch Christmas movies. Even if you’re not physically in the room with them, watch parties using integrated apps or Zooms or other virtual meetups means you can still have a collective, shared experience — just over the internet.
And if you are lucky enough to be in the same place as your family, you can spend time with your loved ones and cherish the fact that you’re able to be close to them Irl when so many people cannot be with theirs.

Charlie Sheen has come forward as the owner — and now seller — of both Babe Ruth’s 1927 World Series ring and an original copy of the sale document that sent him from the Boston Red Sox to the New York Yankees.
The two items — which will be sold on Friday from the auction house Lelands.com — were purchased by the actor in the ’90s and were displayed in a bar area in his house that he named after The Great Bambino, according to Espn.
Bidding on the ring has surpassed $600,000, which will make it the highest-priced sports championship ring ever sold.

Robert Evans: The Kid Is Alright
By
Alex Simon
I interviewed legendary Hollywood producer Robert Evans in 2002 for Venice Magazine, in conjunction with the release of the documentary "The Kid Stays in the Picture," adapted from his iconic autobiography and audiobook. Our chat took place at Woodland, Evans' storied estate in Beverly Hills, in his equally famous screening room, which mysteriously burned down a couple years later. Evans was still physically frail, having recently survived a series of strokes, but his mind, his wit and his charm were sharp as ever, with near total recall for people, places and stories. Many, many stories. Here are a few of them.
It’s a widely-held belief that the years 1967-76 represent the “golden age” of American cinema. Just look at a few of these titles: Rosemary’s Baby,...

Matching the mood created by a song with different types of wine is the idea behind a new campaign called ‘Tasting notes’ for Casella Wines brand Yellow Tail.
The idea, devised by AnalogFolk, sees Yellow Tail release a new playlist each Friday that will be available via Facebook and Spotify, and promoted via Pedestrian TV’s web and social properties.
The playlists are designed to match the mood of each of Yellow Tail’s wines and give people a flavour for the musical tastes of a number of celebrities, who will curate the playlists.
Curators include Pip Edwards (Sass and Bide), Scott Dooley (comedian), Art Vs Science (musicians), and Ash London and Scott Tweedie (The Loop).
“Finding the perfect playlist is a lot like finding the perfect bottle of wine – you know what your mood is calling for, but finding the perfect match can be difficult,” said Travis Fuller, marketing manger at Yellow Tail.

A Missouri woman who posed as a 16-year-old boy on MySpace participated in "an elaborate scheme to inflict massive humiliation on a teenage" neighbor, and succeeded when the girl hanged herself, a prosecutor told jurors Monday. During closing arguments in the nation's first federal cyber-bullying case, Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Krause said Lori Drew, 49, hatched a plan to make Megan Meier, 13, fall in love with a boy she never met to "make fun of her" because the two families had a feud. "The scheme went beyond a simple prank or a mere insult," Krause told the panel. "The way...
