Composer, songwriter ("Little Jack Frost, Get Lost", "You're All I Want
for Christmas"), singer, pianist and author, educated at the University
of Virginia. He was a pianist and singer in vaudeville and in night
clubs, and made many records, and later conducted his own band, the
Choir of Brass. Joining ASCAP in 1942, his other popular-song
compositions include "Oilers" (the official song of the Houston Oilers
of the American Football League), "No, Baby, Nobody But You", "Eleven
Sixty P.M.", "Drizzle Drizzle The Party's a Fizzle, O What a Night",
