She spent her childhood in Guinea and came back to France in 1973.
After receiving a first degree in Art history, she entered the films as
a trainee in the laboratories of Joinville-le-Pont before beginning to
work as a press attache. She is best known as an independent filmmaker
of such films as 1993: Somewhere near Conakry , Official selection:
festival de Cannes, Camera d'or 1992; Montreal; San Sebastien, Namur,
La Baule, Ouagadougou,Human Right Watch New York. 1995: Isanga,
documentary (super-16, 52') The shepherd and the sea (short) 1997: A la
recherche du caiman noir, documentary co-realized with Herve Dresen.
