- Best remembered as the late Ted Knight's wife on the hit TV sitcom Too Close for Comfort (1980).
- A Broadway veteran whose vast musical theater leads include Nellie Forbush in "South Pacific", Maria in "The Sound of Music", the title role in "Peter Pan", Carrie in "Carousel", Daisy in "On a Clear Day You Can See Forever", Sharon in "Finian's Rainbow", the title role in "Irene", and the Witch in "Into the Woods"; in addition to scores of musical revues and one-evening special tributes.

- Daughter of George Adrian and Sarah Isabel (Seitz) Dussault. Her father was a naval captain and pilot and she was raised all over the world.

- Was twice nominated for Broadway's Tony Awards: in 1961 as Best Supporting or Featured Actress (Musical) for "Do Re Mi" and in 1965 as Best Actress Musical) for "Bajour."
- She was awarded the 1995 Drama Logue Award for Performance for "Candide," at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
- She is French descendant.
