- [reviews of his films] I don't really care about reviews too much. I don't even really read many comments online either; everyone has their own opinion, and the Internet has become a soapbox for bitter people who don't like anything. Some of my favorite films have the worst reviews, and some terrible movies have great reviews.
- [why he directs under different names] I was in the DGA and working under assumed names because I was hiding from the Guild at the time. Then I tried to give each genre its own type of pseudonym: Ellen Cabot did erotica, Joseph Tennent did children's thrillers, Julian Breen did kid's horror. I tried to mix it up so I didn't have too many movies on the market.
