Jackie Larkin’s Newgrange Pictures, part of Finnish film and TV studio Yellow Film & TV, has appointed a business affairs and development boss. Joan Lambe will oversee the company’s financing opportunities and strategic decisions along with aiding with the overall financial planning of the company. Ali Doyle, meanwhile, will work across the existing slate of film and TV projects and new programs. The pair’s past employers include MGM, HBO, Netflix and Wild Atlantic Pictures. “Due to the recent lull in the market following an unstable summer of strikes and general slowdown in the business, the growth plan had to be put on hold,” said Larkin. “But we’re in this for the long game and have seen these peaks and troughs before. Irish crime drama “Kin” has begun rolling on Season 2, with production kicking off in Dublin last week.
Produced by Bron Studios and Headline Pictures, in association with Irish broadcaster RTÉ, “Kin” follows the Kinsella family, which is at the centre of gang warfare in Dublin. The series airs on AMC Networks in the U.S. and Canada, U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Spain and Portugal; Viaplay in Scandinavia; and Npo in Netherlands.
The returning cast includes Charlie Cox (“Daredevil”), Clare Dunne (“Herself”), Aidan Gillen (“Game of Thrones”), Sam Keeley (“Joe vs Carole”), Emmett J. Scanlan (“Peaky Blinders”), Maria Doyle Kennedy (“Outlander”), and Yasmin Seky. Francis Magee has been upped to a series regular this season.

AMC+ announced on Thursday that it has has acquired the rights to three crime drama series: Cold Courage, Kin and Too Close.
The first to premiere on the streaming service is Lionsgate’s Cold Courage, which will hit AMC+ on Thursday, March 11. Based on the award-winning and best-selling novels from Finnish journalist Pekka Hiltunen, Cold Courage follows two women as they collide during a series of murders in present-day London. Mari (Pihla Viitala), a fierce psychologist, and Lia (Sofia Pekkari), a shy graphic artist, are drawn together through the “Studio” – a clandestine group of like-minded people operating off the grid, dedicated to righting the wrongs of the powerful, influential and corrupt.
John Simm appears as populist politician Arthur Fried and joins fellow cast-members Caroline Goodall and Arsher Ali. Jakob Eklund, Peter Coonan and Matteo Simoni also star.
The series was adapted for the screen by David Joss Buckley and Brendan Foley.

SundanceTV will co-produce RTÉ Series Rebellion. Rebellion is a five-part mini-series. Beginning at the outset of World War I, Rebellion focuses on Ireland's struggle for independence.
