James Andrew O'Connor is a veteran actor of stage and screen, a producer and an acting coach born, bred and working in NYC. Raised in the Bronx by parents with a true appreciation for Theater & Film, James started performing at the age of 16 onstage at Fordham Prep H.S. and never looked back. He went on to earn a degree in Theater at The College of The Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. and further his studies at the National Shakespeare Conservatory, after which he returned to NYC to begin his professional pursuits as an actor. James hasn't stopped for 25 plus years.
James has performed in over 60 Feature Films & Television programs with recurring roles in Hightown on STARZ(Calhoun) Gotham on FOX (Tommy Bones) & White Collar on USA (Dixon), as well as dozens of guest and co-star roles in various network and cable episodics. Theater credits include The Roundabout's production of 'Don't Dress For Dinner' on Broadway, the legendary Orson Welles role of Harry Lime in Godlight's production of 'The Third Man,' and most recently creating the role of Van in the premiere of Tony, Oscar and Pulitzer prize winning playwright, John Patrick Shanley's 'Japanese Porno' with Nylon Fusion Productions. James is a Company Member of On the Road Repertory Co. founded by the esteemed acting coach Alice Spivak.
Producer credits include: Executive Producer of NO ALTERNATIVE directed by William Dickerson & co-starring Harry Hamlin & Catherine Irbe. Associate Producer of TURBO COLA directed by Luke Covert & Produced by Brandon Keeton.
James is also husband to wife, Tammy and the father of two young tykes.
