Michael Colomby began his career in the Recording Studio, giving him the opportunity to work with many recording acts, studio and symphony musicians. His work on "The Phantom of the Opera - Canadian Cast" recording earned him an 8 x Platinum Record Award. Also involved in Theatrical Sound Design, Michael has worked on the musicals; Kiss of the Spiderwoman (7 Tony Awards) & Showboat (5 Tony Awards), both directed by Hal Prince, Andrew Lloyd Webber's; Music of the Night, Aspects of Love, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Michael was also involved in the Jesse Award winning Musical "The Overcoat" for the Vancouver Playhouse. In Post Production, Michael has worked as a Re Recording Mixer, Supervising Sound Editor, Music Editor, Scoring Mixer, and Sound Editor. Selected work on Films include; The Score, Josie & The Pussycats, Duets, Beyond Borders, Aurora Borealis. Television Movies of the Week include; Amanda Knox, National Geographic "Skin", Trucks, Out of Nowhere. Selected T.V. Series; Nashville, The Affair, Murder in the First, Rizzoli&Isles, Those Who Kill, Deception, Hung, Hellcats, Secret Circle, Castle, DaVinci's Inquest, Awards include; LEO Award (Western Canada) Best Overall Sound in 1999 for Dead Man's Gun, in 2001 for M.V.P, and in 2002 for Da Vinci's Inquest. Michael was part of the 2010 Golden Reel winning team for the Video Game "Uncharted2". He was also nominated for 2 Gemini Awards (Canada-National) for Da Vinci's Inquest in 2001, a LEO award nomination for Protection in 2001. Golden Reel nominated shows; in 2003 for National Geographics' Skin, 2011 for Rizzoli&Isles, and Nashville in 2014.
