The View’s Tuesday broadcast was one co-host short of a full panel.
At the top of the hour, just Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin sat at the show’s Hot Topics table, with Sara Haines clearly M.I.A. (She did, however, appear on Monday’s installment.) So why was Haines absent from the show? Goldberg answered that question at the top of the second segment.

British actor Michelle Collins headlines the cast of horror-thriller “The Haunting of Helen’s Bridge.”
The film, directed by Stephen Presley and written by Presley and Gemma Esau, recently completed principal photography. It explores the urban legend surrounding Helen’s Mountain and its infamous bridge, located at Asheville, North Carolina.
“The Haunting of Helen’s Bridge” follows the malevolent spirit of Helen, a grieving mother who, overwhelmed by the loss of her child, met a tragic end by tying a noose around her neck and hanging herself from the bridge. Actual paranormal footage captured at the bridge is woven into the narrative.
Collins said: “I’ve never been in a horror genre movie before, so I was thrilled when this opportunity came along. Despite initially being worried about having nightmares after the filming, I genuinely enjoyed the whole experience, and I’d love to make another horror now. I can...

Legendary journalist Barbara Walters came up with a novel idea in the late 1990s: to create a talk show consisting of a panel of different women from different backgrounds to discuss the stories of the day. It eventually became The View, which launched on ABC in August 1997. But although she was the mastermind behind The View‘s creation, Walters was reportedly unceremoniously showed the door, just as several co-hosts have experienced over the years.

Chris Colfer has seemingly enjoyed a dig at former Glee co-star Lea Michele, saying that he won’t be seeing her Broadway performance of Funny Girl.
The two starred as on-again-off-again best friends on the hit musical series, which began in 2009. However, five years after its six-season run, Michele was accused of “bullying” behaviour by several Glee alumni.
While Colfer has remained relatively quiet about the allegations, he appeared to allude to the drama during a recent episode of The Michelle Collins Show.
Host Michelle Collins asked him to guess what she was doing that evening, suggesting he should join her. The 32-year-old responded: “Oh no, are you seeing Funny Girl?”
Collins laughingly answered “yes”, before Colfer said: “Oh... My day suddenly just got so full.”
He added: “I saw Six last night, and that was amazing.”
“So, you’re not seeing it [Funny Girl] is my guess, while you’re in town?...

When I was touring colleges way back in 2007, a tour guide said something to my group that struck me as both totally right and totally wrong. “Getting into college is like picking out a puppy. It seems stressful at first, but at the end of the day, you get a puppy. You really can’t go wrong.”
At the time, I found this immensely reassuring, and to a large extent it turned out to be true, at least for me: I was lucky enough to get into my dream school...

Welp! TLC fans just learned something new about 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Hazel — and it's all thanks to her fiancé Tarik's brother Dean. Shortly after the network aired Tarik's sweet beachside proposal to Hazel, Dean made an appearance on the 90 Day Fiancé Live aftershow to share his thoughts on their engagement and he also revealed a very personal detail about Hazel regarding her sexuality. Earlier this season, fans watched as Dean traveled to the Philippines so that he could meet his brother's online girlfriend Hazel in person for the first time and properly vet her to make sure she was the right one for Tairk — and to also try to determine if she was in the relationship for the right reasons. But viewers were weirded out when Dean asked Hazel a crude about whether she would be "enough" of a woman for Tarik in the bedroom, and that's...

Sister knows best! Fans just got to witness 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days stars Darcey Silva and Jesse Meester's nasty split on last night's episode, after Jesse flew from Amsterdam to NYC in order to end his relationship with Darcey in person and things escalated pretty quickly. Shortly after the episode aired, Darcey's twin sister Stacey made an appearance on the 90 Day Fiancé Live aftershow where she opened up about what it was like to see her sister go through such a public breakup —and she let fans know how she really feels about Jesse. "It was very emotional for me to watch that scene. I feel like she got her heart broken on national TV. She truly loved him and she gave her all, she wears her heart on her sleeve and I don’t feel like it was right what he did," Stacey, 44, told show host Michelle Collins.

Sara Haines is the latest to pass through The Revolving Door of The View. This morning she performed the traditional “bittersweet” announcement on the broadcast, noting that she is leaving for “the best reason”: Haines will host the third hour of Good Morning America with Michael Strahan.
Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Abby Huntsman immediately took the lead in the replacement name game, among sources with knowledge of the thinking at ABC News, which is said to be seeking a second conservative host to keep Meghan McCain company. Ana Navarro’s name also came up a lot.
The View now has two vacant panelist chairs; Haines’ announcement follows by four days the news that three-year co-host Paula Faris is leaving the show, and her weekend Gma duties, for a new assignment that includes contributing to Good Morning America and a podcast on faith.

Disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein was formally arrested Friday morning on suspicion of rape, a criminal sex act, sex abuse, and sexual misconduct. Here are reactions coming in already from Hollywood and beyond as the NYPD says Weinstein was formally arrested, processed and charged with rape, criminal sex act, sex abuse and sexual misconduct for incidents involving two separate women.

Washington — Michelle Wolf’s monologue at the White House Correspondents Association dinner dominated the headlines coming out of the evening — even if it was a mere sliver of the four-hour event and only a moment in what is traditionally D.C.’s most social weekend.
The surreal aspect is usually the mix of newsmakers on opposite ends of the political spectrum or at odds in other ways — Michael Avenatti, Stormy Daniels’ attorney, was at the annual Garden Brunch on Saturday along with Kellyanne Conway.
Hollywood had a presence, although it was much more muted than in previous years. At Hamilton Live, Kevin Bacon and The Bacon Brothers at one point played “Footloose,” as they were the headliners to a series of journalist-bands, including Lester Holt and the Rough Cuts.
