- We played for the princess of Monaco. It was her 21st birthday and we were in Monaco doing a concert. The Oakridge Boys and I went down to her table, it was all set up, had to be cleared, you know, bodyguards all around and stuff, and sang 'Happy Birthday'. That's pretty heavy for a guy from Virginia that, I'm not proud to say, but, didn't finish high school.
