Marvel has a new TV show on deck, and this one should seem familiar.
The aptly named “Agatha All Along” is centered on Kathryn Hahn’s character from “WandaVision” and is indeed named for the catchy tune she sang in that series. The show will follow Agatha as she works to not only get her powers back after Wanda’s spell left her trapped in a TV character persona, but also builds her own coven.
Here’s who we know for sure might be in or associated with that coven in the “Agatha All Along” cast ahead of the show’s Sept. 18 premiere on Disney+.

Marvel's newest Halloween offering is Agatha All Along, the witchy WandaVision spin-off that has been in the works since the titular song took off in 2021. The story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series is expected to follow Agatha Harkness as she tries to get her powers back, with a quirky coven of witches by her side. But precisely how she gets there is still to be seen.
Agatha All Along will seemingly begin with Agatha stuck in Westview, where we last saw her. And while the story is going to take her to wildly different settings, we know that some of her neighbors will be joining in. Emma Caulfield Ford and Debra Jo Rupp are both set to reprise their roles in the spinoff, with Rupp's character even joining Agatha's coven.
While it's clear that the new Disney Plus series is going to be its own thing, there's no doubt that WandaVision will be relevant,...

Sarah Michelle Gellar was the star of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" but the cult series really was an ensemble show — especially as it went on. The main characters in "Buffy" grew from the titular slayer and her "Scoobies" to an extensive cast of beloved favorites who became just as integral to the show's success and its enduring status as one of the great TV shows of the late-'90s/early aughts.
In that sense, it's not surprising that while Gellar was the lead, there were several other cast members who appeared in almost as many episodes as the star herself. Across seven seasons and 144 episodes, Buffy was joined most frequently by her close friends Willow Rosenberg (Alyson Hannigan) and Xander Harris (Nicholas Brendon) — the original Scooby gang. Then, there was her Watcher, Rupert Giles (Anthony Stewart Head), Scooby adoptee Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carpenter), and "big bad"-turned ally Spike (James Marsters). All these characters,...

No green screen magic was needed to conjure a key set piece in Disney+’s next Marvel series, Agatha All Along.
In the WandaVision follow-up that’s been three-and-a-half years in the making (and debuts Wednesday, Sept. 18 with the first two episodes), Agatha Harkness (played again by Kathryn Hahn) finds herself down and out (of power) after a young goth dubbed Teen (Heartstopper‘s Joe Locke) helps break her free from the spell cast by Scarlet Witch Wanda Maximoff.

First it was “Agatha: House of Harkness.” Then it was “Agatha: Coven of Chaos.” For a time we thought it might be called “Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.” But finally, after years of waiting, we are finally getting “Agatha All Along.”
The spin-off Disney+ series was announced shortly after the breakout success of the Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany-led “WandaVision,” which introduced Kathryn Hahn to the MCU as Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch envious of Wanda/Scarlett Witch’s limitless abilities. While the end of “WandaVision” saw Agatha lose her magic and be trapped in the persona she used to try and fool Wanda, a trailer that premiered Friday, August 9, at D23 revealed Agatha’s intention to earn her powers back by gathering her coven and walking the Witches’ Road. This trailer can be viewed below.

Joe Locke stars in Marvel’s Agatha All Along, playing a mysterious role in the Kathryn Hahn-led Disney+ series.
The Heartstopper star said that his character was kept a secret from him even while filming for the series was still underway.
“He’s a familiar; he’s like the assistant to the coven,” Locke told Empire in a recent interview about his character who known in the script as “Teen.”
Locke continued, “Teen is a big fan of witchcraft and witches, so for him to be taken under Agatha Harkness’ wing and form a coven and go down the Witches’ Road is his dream. He’s fanboy-esque, and in his element. Which is very fun — because I was [too]!”
Showrunner Jac Schaeffer teased that “this mysterious goth teen shows up in [Agatha’s] life,” adding, “It’s his idea to travel the Witches’ Road to get her power back. But...

Disney+ has released the first trailer and poster for the next Marvel Television series, Agatha All Along. The WandaVision spin-off will premiere with two episodes on September 18 and it's fair to say the show is completely unlike anything we previously expected.
The sneak peek opens with Agatha Harkness seemingly trapped inside a police procedural, with Aubrey Plaza's unnamed character arriving to snap her out of the delusion the Scarlet Witch left her in.
Interestingly, the trailer appears to go some way in confirming that Wanda Maximoff is indeed dead following the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, Marvel Studios also appears to be stopping short of doing anything more than hinting at her final fate.
There's a fair bit of horror in the trailer, with imagery which wouldn't be out of place in an R-Rated movie; whether that's an indication Agatha All Along will be...

Agatha made her debut in the Disney+ series ‘WandaVision’ as the nosy neighbor who is later revealed to be a powerful witch attempting to steal Wanda’s powers. By the series’ end, Agatha is defeated and trapped in her neighbor persona, left powerless—a situation that will carry over into the first episode of her own show. In the comics, Agatha is one of the most powerful magic users, sharing a significant connection with Wanda.
Given Agatha’s popularity, it was no surprise that she would get her own show, marking the first spin-off from ‘WandaVision.’ With the release date approaching, the studio has unveiled the first teaser trailer, which promises a visually stunning series.
The show will center on Agatha’s quest to regain her powers. After escaping her confinement in Westview, New Jersey, Agatha Harkness finds herself powerless and enlists unexpected allies to help restore her abilities.

No, Disney+’s Agatha All Along isn’t a moody cop procedural — but a new trailer for the WandaVision spinoff will briefly have you thinking it is.
Nearly two months after announcing a Sept. 18 release date for Agatha All Along, Disney+ has now shared the offshoot’s first footage, which finds Kathryn Hahn’s previously powerful witch now working as… a detective? That is, until Agatha’s latest case forces her to confront the battle with Wanda Maximoff that took away Agatha’s magic, trapping her in her “Agnes” persona until further notice.

As expected, WandaVision eventually revealed that it had been "Agatha All Along." The Scarlet Witch put an end to her machinations, though, leaving the villain trapped inside her Agnes persona in Westview.
Agatha will somehow return this September in the appropriately titled Agatha All Along on Disney+ and, according to Head Writer Jac Schaeffer (WandaVision), she'll be joined by "a disparate, mixed bag of witches."
That includes Patti LuPone's Lilia, Sasheer Zamata's Jennifer, Debra Jo Rupp's Sharon, and Ali Ahn's Alice. We're not sure if that's a typo on Empire's part, but it seems there was more to Jo Rupp's Mrs. Hart than met the eye!
"What they have in common is that they’re covenless witches," Schaeffer adds. "Witches are defined by deception, treachery, villainy and selfishness. What do you do when you have a group of witches who [demonstrate] those notions and you need them to work together?...

Marvel’s upcoming WandaVision spin-off starring Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness finally has an official title—for real this time—and a release date on Disney+.
The Agatha series has been through several titles over the years, including Agatha: House of Harkness, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, and Agatha: The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe. It turns out those constant title changes were the result of the titular pesky witch, and the actual title was unveiled during Disney’s 2024 Upfront Presentation: Agatha All Along. The first two episodes of the series will debut on Disney+ on September 18th.

Agatha made her debut in the Disney+ series ‘WandaVision’ as the nosy neighbor-turned-powerful witch who attempted to steal Wanda’s powers. Following her defeat in the series, Agatha is left powerless and trapped in her mundane persona, a fate likely to be explored in the first episode of her own show. In the comics, Agatha is depicted as one of the most formidable magic users in the Marvel Universe, establishing a significant connection between the characters.
Given Agatha’s compelling presence in ‘WandaVision,’ it was a natural choice for her to receive her own spinoff series. With the release date of ‘Agatha’ drawing nearer, here’s a summary of everything we know about the upcoming show.
Agatha embarks on a journey to reclaim her lost powers

Agatha debuted in the Disney+ series ‘WandaWision,’ as the nosy neighbour-turned-powerful witch who tried to steal Wanda’s powers. By the end of the show, Agatha is defeated and trapped in her noisy neighbor persona, left powerless, which will obviously translate to the first episode of the show. The two characters share a connection from the comics, with Agatha being one of the most powerful magic users in the Marvel Comics Universe.
It wasn’t surprising when it was decided that Agatha would get her own show, the first spinoff derived from ‘WandaVision.’ Now since the release date for ‘Agatha’ is getting closer we decided to summarize everything we know about the show.

When Marvel Studios first announced its WandaVision sequel, it was titled Agatha: House of Harkness. It then switched to Agatha: Coven of Chaos before becoming Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.
Along the way, we've also seen evidence that it could be named Agatha All Along, Agatha: The Witches' Road, and Agnes of Westview, with the prevailing theory being that these are all episode titles and not the official final name of the Disney+ series.
Moments ago, Marvel Studios added another name to the mix by posting a logo to X which features Agatha: The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe.
That's one heck of a title, eh?
We'll see if this one sticks, but it's worth noting that as we write this, the studio has already removed the Tweet/X post in question. It's hard to believe this was sent out by mistake and the more likely possibility is it's yet another part...

With X-Men '97 in full swing on Disney+ and Deadpool & Wolverine fast approaching, will Marvel Studios soon pull back the curtain on WandaVision follow-up, Agatha?
That's the prevailing theory because the profile picture on WandaVision's social media accounts has just been updated with a splash of familiar purple. It doesn't give us much to go on, though we'd say there has to be some significance to this when Agatha Harkness remains trapped in Westview thanks to the Scarlet Witch!
We'd caution against getting too excited about an imminent reveal because it's previously been reported that Agatha is aiming for a September launch. Disney+ has also developed a frustrating habit of promising its MCU offerings surprisingly close to their respective premieres.
Despite it feeling like we've been waiting a long time for the series, things appear to be going well for a spin-off which has previously been dubbed "Agnes of Westview,...

In a People interview, Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Emma Caulfield Ford, who played the demon Anya on the TV series, updated her health and detailed her Ms battle, which she kept quiet for more than a decade.
The report indicates Caulfield Ford’s symptoms have been extremely mild, and she doesn’t take medication. She has acute sensitivity to heat and stress, but severe symptoms such as fatigue, muscle weakness, and lesions have not manifested.
“I’m very, very fortunate,” Caulfield Ford, 50, told People. “But I’m also aware that, with Ms, this could all change tomorrow. I’m stable — and I’ve made it a huge priority to do things so I stay that way.”
Ms affects an estimated 1 million Americans. Caulfield Ford received her diagnosis on the autoimmune disease in 2010 after finding the left side of her face had gone numb.

More than a dozen years after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis — and a year after going public with that diagnosis — Emma Caulfield Ford says that she’s been “very, very fortunate” so far with her experience with the disease. Caulfield Ford’s Ms symptoms have been very mild, with occasional sensitivity to heat, stress, and noise, but none of the debilitating flareups other people living with Ms experience, as she told People in a recent interview. “But I’m also aware that, with Ms, this could all change tomorrow,” she added. The Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis — the same disease her late father had — in the summer of 2010 as she filmed the TV series Gigantic. Ms is a chronic disease in which the myelin — the fatty tissue protecting nerve fibers — is destroyed and lesions of scar tissue form in its place, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine.

In a year of reduced Marvel output, there are still a lot of interesting comic book adaptations emerging in 2024 from both Sony and Marvel Studios. As it stands, Deadpool 3 is the only MCU film releasing in theaters this year, but the Sony side of Marvel has three movies heading to multiplexes, including Kraven the Hunter, which was previously set to make its debut in 2023.
MCU series Echo has already hit Disney+ in January, but here’s what you can expect to arrive in the rest of 2024.
Madame Web – February 14
The webs will be madaming extremely hard in 2024 as Sony returns to the Spider-Man-adjacent well to pluck out the first of two new gems. Will they be sparkly, box office-friendly Venom diamonds? Or will they be cubic zirconia Morbiuses? Only time will tell, but the first trailer for February’s Madame Web was leaning heavily towards Morbius, inspiring reams of...

Kathryn Hahn is reprising her role of Agatha Harkness in Agatha: Darkhold Diaries on Disney+.
With the Blu-Ray release of WandaVision, Marvel Studios snuck a little preview of the spinoff where Hahn and creators tease the making of the series.
Jac Schaeffer, head writer and executive producer, said she talked to Marvel about developing something else and revealed that everything that she pitched “included a storyline about Agatha.”
“I remember Kevin [Feige] saying to me, ‘We really should think about an actual Agatha show,’ and I was like, ‘Where do I sign for that job?'” Schaeffer recalled.
“The character is so deep and heartfelt and dangerous,” co-executive producer Mary Livanos said. “Continuing the story of Agatha and getting to know her more was immediately an imperative for us as creatives. There would be nothing more delicious to Agatha Harkness than to be in a spinoff.”

The new Audible Original “Slayers: A Buffyverse Story” has been released and takes fans back to the Buffyverse. The series is set ten years after the events that unfolded in the “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” television series finale.
The Audible Original features many characters returning to their roles from the original series, but in a completely different universe. During New York Comic Con we had a chance to set down with two Buffyverse veterans, Charisma Carpenter, who played Cordelia in both “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” and “Angel” and Emma Caulfield Ford who played Xander’s love interest Anya/Anyaka in the television series who just so happened to be a demon.
Both Carpenter and Caufield Ford shared with us some insights into the new Audible series, what it was like to revisit their characters twenty years later, the recording process and the Buffyverse fandom!

The cast of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” is ready to reclaim the narrative. Through the new Audible original, “Slayers: A Buffyverse Story,” several actors from the acclaimed drama series are back together to play their beloved characters once again — this time in an audio original podcast.
“Slayers” is co-written by Amber Benson, who portrayed Tara in “Buffy,” and Christopher Golden, who has penned multiple books in the “Buffyverse.” Before the Covid pandemic, Benson began calling her former costars to see who might want to be involved, focusing on the characters she felt weren’t serviced enough in the original show. She also wanted to find a way to highlight what it means to be a slayer who is also a woman of color.
That’s where Laya DeLeon Hayes came in, portraying 16-year-old Slayer Indira Nunnally in the new series, which takes place in 2013, 10 years after “Buffy” ended. James Marsters returns as Spike,...

Twenty years after audiences watched Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) slay her last demon, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is set to return with a multiverse-style sequel. The new story won't be a TV show, but an audio series called "Slayers: A Buffyverse Story" -- a format switch that, while perhaps less common than a straightforward revival series, has been done successfully before by at least one other big fandom genre show, "Orphan Black."
There are a lot of reasons worth getting excited about "Slayers." Eight original series cast members are returning for the new project, including Emma Caulfield Ford (Anya), Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia), Anthony Head (Giles), James Marsters (Spike), and more. Amber Benson is also returning despite her character Tara's controversial death in season 6 of the original show -- apparently the new series will play with alternate realities, allowing her character's reappearance. Calling all Scoobies — it's time to return to Sunnydale and catch up with all of our favorite demon-fighting, vampire-slaying heroes. Audible is releasing a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" original audio story set 10 years after the finale of the beloved television series with a number of the original cast members reprising their roles. The series had previously been continued in Dark Horse's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" comics, though those aren't considered to be canon by many, and this new audio original could be the first canon entry in the Buffyverse for two decades.

More changes are on the horizon for Disney+'s slate of series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Agatha Harkness spinoff of WandaVision has been postponed to late 2024.
The series, which wrapped production earlier this year, finds Kathryn Hahn reprising the role she played on WandaVision Season 1.
In addition to the delay, the series has also been given a new title... Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.
The series has also been called Agatha: Coven of Chaos and Agatha: House of Harkness.
Hopefully, the third time's the charm, and this title sticks.
It is unfortunate that we'll be waiting much longer than planned for the series, but there's a good chance the delay is in response to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
Agatha: Darkhold Diaries also stars Aubrey Plaza (The White Lotus), Sasheer Zamata (SNL), Joe Locke (Heartstopper), Patti LuPone (American Horror Story), Emma Caulfield Ford,...

Uh-oh… has someone put a hex on Disney+’s Agatha-centered WandaVision spinoff?
The spinoff, with Kathryn Hahn reprising her WandaVision role as the witchy villainess, was originally supposed to debut later this year, but it has now been delayed until early fall 2024, timed to the Halloween season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. (A source has confirmed the news to TVLine.) For those of you who are keeping score at home, it’s also now on its third title: Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, replacing the previous title Agatha: Coven of Chaos, which in turn replaced the original Agatha: House of Harkness.

Plot details for the spinoff project are under wraps at the moment, so it’s unclear if the series will pick up following the events of “WandaVision.” In the finale’s big final battle, Wanda of course defeated Agatha Harkness, trapping her in the town of Westview.

Sasheer Zamata is opening up about her role in Agatha: Coven of Chaos, the WandaVision spinoff on Disney+.
The Saturday Night Live alum said that getting cast in the Marvel series was fitting as she touches on witches in her comedy special The First Woman.
“I had already written material for [The First Woman] before I went through the audition process,” Zamata told Mashable in an interview pre-strike. “It felt magical that I got to be in a show about witches. I talk about it so much in my special.”
Zamata will be portraying Jennifer Kale, a sorceress in the MCU world and ahead of getting the part, she did her research but teases that the character has been transformed for the adaptation.
“I definitely did do as much [comic book] research as I could,” she said. “But the way we formed this character is very different from what I think people expect.”

Patti LuPone has joined the MCU in the WandaVision spinoff Agatha: Coven of Chaos. However, before embarking on this new adventure, the Broadway legend had no idea about the universe she was coming into.
“And I’m still not,” LuPone tells EW with a laugh. “I’m still not familiar with it. I had to watch WandaVision twice to figure it out.”
LuPone is set to play the role of Lili Calderu and is enjoying her time on the show adding, “I’m having a blast. It’s a wonderful group of women, plus a phenomenal crew. I mean, the design on this piece is extraordinary. Jac Schaeffer is so talented, she’s the creator of WandaVision and now Coven of Chaos, and it’s an extraordinary cast of women.”

Now that “Tiny Beautiful Things” is streaming on Hulu, the Kathryn Hahn hive can look forward to seeing the actress in the Marvel Cinematic Universe again in the upcoming TV show “Agatha: Coven of Chaos.”
The new Disney+ series is a spin-off of Marvel Studios’ first TV show, “WandaVision.” That series starred Elizabeth Olsen and told more of Wanda’s backstory as she wove together a complex web of magic in the fake town of Westview, New Jersey to cope with her intense grief of losing Vision (Paul Bettany). Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) was introduced in Westview as Agnes, Wanda’s friendly neighbor, but by the end of the season, we discovered Agnes was actually a powerful witch who wanted Wanda to attain her full power potential (it was Agatha all along).

Agatha: Coven of Chaos: Patti LuPone conjures secrets about her bewitching Marvel character and more
Double double toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble, Patti LuPone is conjuring secrets about Marvel’s WandaVision spinoff, Agatha: Coven of Chaos. I know that didn’t rhyme. You’ll get over it, I promise. On Tuesday’s episode of The View (via Entertainment Weekly), LuPone revealed she’s playing Lilia Calderu for the upcoming series, also starring Kathryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza.
“It’s a coven of witches, and I play Lilia Calderu, who apparently is in the Marvel world. I researched her. She’s hot. She’s really hot. She’s got a great body and hair,” LuPone told Alyssa Farah Griffin about her character. “I didn’t know there were witches,” LuPone said about exploring the Marvel Universe. “I didn’t know anything about the Marvel world. There are witches in the marvel world. So, we are a coven of witches and the witches are: Kathryn Hahn,...

To many Buffy, the Vampire Slayer fans, season 6 was a letdown. After Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) sacrificed herself to defeat Glory at the end of season 5, her return left some fans wanting. The show also moved from The WB to Upn for season 6 and 7, but even decades later, fans still criticize season 6.

Season 6 saw Buffy, the vampire slayer go up against the Trio. Warren (Adam Busch), Jonathan (Danny Strong), and Andrew (Tom Lenk) had all appeared in previous seasons of the show. At the beginning of season 6, they decide to take over Sunnydale. The joke was that they were incompetent nerds dabbling in magic, but that made them dangerous.
