- Played the title role in New York's Public Theater's production of "Kit Marlowe" (2001).
- Was an inaugural company member of "The Globe Theater" in London, where he appeared in the opening production of "Henry V" and "A Chaiste Maid in Cheapside." (1998)
- (1999) Appeared in Hamlet at New York's Public Theatre.
- Appeared as both Lord Byron and The Baron in Tennessee Williams' "Camino Real" at the Williamstown Theatre Festival (Summer 1999 - Williamstown, MA)
- Performed the title role of "Coriolanus" for New York's Theater For a New Audience in 2005
- Appearing in the 2008/2009 Broadway production of Arthur Miller's "All My Sons" directed by Simon McBurney. Plays the character George Deever opposite Diane Wiest, John Lithgow, Patric Wilson and Katie Holmes.
- Performed the title role of Hamlet in Theater for a new Audience's award winning production. Christian received an Obie award for excellence and Drama League nomination. Following that production Christian became a company member of Sam Mendes's the Bridge Project playing Orlando/Ariel in As you like it/Tempest for the 2010 season.
