Ernie Bushmiller was born on August 23, 1905 in Bronx, New York City, New York, USA. He was a writer, known for School Daze (1942), Doing Their Bit (1942) and Archie's TV Funnies (1971). He was married to Abby Bohnet. He died on August 15, 1982 in Stamford, Connecticut, USA.
Created the comic strip "Nancy" from the strip "Fritzi Ritz", which he was assigned to after its creator left it, while a staff cartoonist for the New York World newspaper. Founding member of the National Cartoonists Society.
