- Wrote some instrumental tracks for the 1974 Freddie Francis film Son Of Dracula which featured Harry Nilsson and Ringo Starr.
- Played cello with David Bowie and his band in the recordings for the original soundtrack to the The Man Who Fell to Earth. Nicolas Roeg decided not to use the soundtrack and instead use existing songs.
- In 2001, Buckmaster teamed with Train on their hit "Drops Of Jupiter," which earned him the GRAMMY® for Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s).

- Introduced Miles Davis to the Stockhausian approach during the recording sessions of On the Corner (1972).
- Paul Buckmaster was a legendary arranger, composer, and conductor recognized for bringing his majestic orchestrations to pop and rock recordings for nearly 50 years. His compositions brought a unique sound to a diverse collection of recordings such as David Bowie's "Space Oddity," the Rolling Stones' "Moonlight Mile," and Elton John's Madman Across The Water.
