Frantic campers scavenge a park ranger’s rucksack inside his abandoned jeep. A shipwrecked sailor drags their waterproof emergency kit ashore. Apocalypse survivors raid a hardware depot after zombies chase civilization far away. Three different horror movie scenarios, all adding a holy grail item to whichever characters’ arsenal. Maybe loaded into a chamber, possibly as a roadside marker, but in any form, someone hoists an invaluable and iconic illumination tool: the almighty flare. Spark it, blast it, or blaze it for instantaneous cinematic ferocity and alarm.

Mick Jenkins has shared “Guapanese,” the latest preview of his upcoming album, The Patience. Watch the visualizer for it below.
Over a piano-based instrumental co-produced by Stoic and Kulture, Jenkins challenges money-obsessed culture and questions the priorities of others. “All these n***** ever really talk about is money,” he spits. “I think all these n***** got to talk about is money/ His man’s locked up, he can’t bond him out, it’s funny.”
Along with “Guapanese,” Jenkins has shared the tracklist for The Patience, which features Benny the Butcher (“Sitting Ducks”), Freddie Gibbs (“Show & Tell”), Vic Mensa (“Farm to table”), and Jid (lead single “Smoke Break-Dance”). See it below.
In a statement, Jenkins explained that he moved away from his typical concept-driven approach while recording the album. “A lot of these new songs were made when I stopped focusing on a concept and just wrote spontaneously to the beat,...

Director Jack Hill’s 1967 film Spider Baby or, the Maddest Story Ever Told (watch it Here) – which boasts a cast that includes Lon Chaney Jr. and Sid Haig – ranks up there as one of my all-time favorites. Rob Zombie clearly took some inspiration from Spider Baby when he was making House of 1000 Corpses, and back in 2007 we heard that a remake was in the works, coming from the Night of the Living Dead 3D team of director Jeff Broadstreet and writer Robert Valding. The one didn’t end up making it into production… but a couple weeks ago, it was confirmed that filming had just wrapped on a version of the remake that’s coming our way from Scs Entertainment and director Dustin Ferguson (Cocaine Cougar). Now our friends at Bloody Disgusting have gotten their hands on a trailer for the Spider Baby remake, and you can check it...

Blessings are imminent, because U.S. Girls — the indie pop project of Meg Remy — return today, February 24th with the new album Bless This Mess. It’s out via 4Ad.
Turns out, while Remy was working on the follow-up to U.S. Girls’ great 2020 album Heavy Light, she was also working on something else: Twin baby boys. With a title that seems to poke fun at maternally-targeted, mass-produced Hobby Lobby wall decor, Bless This Mess captures the extremes of Remy’s emotions as a first-time mom and the nuances of procreation.
The album was made with the help of a few notable guests, including Alex Frankel of Holy Ghost! and Roger Manning Jr. of Jellyfish and Beck. One of the album’s audio engineers was Remy’s frequent collaborator Maximilian Turnbull, who just so happens to also be her husband and co-parent. Many of the takes were recorded while Remy...

The breast pump was waiting for Meg Remy at her Toronto home when returned from the hospital with twins. A friend had given it to her, even though Remy wasn’t initially sure if she’d use the machine. But with two newborns to feed, she charged it up, flipped the switch — and out came a guttural womp.
“The minute I heard it, I was like, what is this fucking sound?” says Remy, 37, bandleader and creative force behind the always-inventive, always-evolving, always-searching pop outfit U.S. Girls. “I just knew...

Stars: Bill Moseley, Bill Oberst Jr., Jake Red, Kyle Anderson, Cody Renee Cameron, Arthur Marroquin, KateLynn E. Newberry, Danni Spring, Victoria Esther Castillo, Jake Lamarca, Nick Pirrmann, Stanley Sarnowski, Mark Sikes | Written by J.S. Brinkley | Directed by Jeff Broadstreet
Written by J.S. Brinkley, based on a story by Donald Borza II and directed by Jeff Broadstreet (Night of the Living Dead 3D), Devil’s Junction: Handy Dandy’s Revenge (also known as just Handy Dandy) is a horror movie about a TV studio that is haunted by a ventriloquist from a 60s kids television program. It’s a basic premise at it’s simplest level, but one that immediately made my B-movie horror loving ears prick up in the air and take note. A promise of muderous dummies? I mean, as a huge fan of killer doll and toy films like Puppet Master, Dolls and Demonic Toys, I was there.

Night Of The Living Dead 3D: Re-animation
Stars: Andrew Divoff, Jeffrey Combs, Sarah Lieving, Robin Sydney, Adam Chambers, Melissa Jo Bailey | Written and Directed by Jeff Broadstreet
A prequel to director Jeff Broadstreet’s 2006 3D “remake” of Night of the Living Dead, Night of the Living Dead 3D: Re-Animation (that’s one hell of a long title) follows mortician Gerald Tovar, Jr. (Divoff) who inherits the family mortuary and exposes hundreds of uncremated bodies to toxic medical waste – at first accidentally and then later on purpose. As the corpses re-animate, Gerald’s inheritance-seeking younger brother, Harold (Jeffrey Combs), unexpectedly shows up and stumbles upon Gerald trying to keep the zombie outbreak under control. Sibling rivalry gives way to madness as Harold discovers Gerald’s dark secret – the freshly exhumed and zombified corpse of their father.

A new Facebook page has launched for Jeff Broadstreet's Night of the Living Dead 3D: Re-Animation that's home to lots of eye candy both from the flick and behind-the-scenes. Some are even in 3D if you have some glasses handy! Dig it!
Night of the Living Dead 3D: Re-Animation stars Andrew Divoff and Jeffrey Combs. A prequel, the story begins one full day before the zombie outbreak occurs in the 2006 film. Also starring are Sarah Lieving (The Dunwich Horror), Robin Sydney (The Lost) and Denice Duff (Subspecies) as “Sister Sara”, a Sarah Palin-esque figure who unwittingly walks into the zombie outbreak and meets a fitting end. If only this were the real world! We don't think Palin could ever handle herself in a "squirmish" with the dead.

Night of the Living Dead 3D: Re-Animation, the prequel to the 2006 production Night of the Living Dead 3D, has just wrapped principal photography with locations in Los Angeles standing in for the small town of Hinzmanville, Pennsylvania. So of course we reached out to nab you guys the goods on what to expect!

Andrew Divoff and Jeffrey Combs has been added to the cast of Jeff Broadstreet's sequel, Night of the Living Dead 3D: Re-Animation. Divoff has been tapped to play the son of Sig Haig's character from the first flick and Combs would play the brother to Haig's character. The film has gotten a slight name change from what was planned in the beginning, it was going to be called Notld: Resurrection. Check out the synopsis below and let us know if you're ready for another Notld movie.
Synopsis:
After inheriting the family mortuary, a pyrophobic mortician (Andrew Divoff) accidentally exposes hundreds of uncremated bodies to toxic medical waste. As the corpses re-animate, the mortician’s inheritance-seeking younger brother (Jeffrey Combs) unexpectantly shows up, stumbling upon a full zombie outbreak!

It’s kind of sad that George A. Romero’s untouchable 1968 masterpiece “Night of the Living Dead” has fallen into the public domain. Of course, the situation is ideal for those looking to shamelessly capitalize on the movie’s legancy, but the rest of us are left to suffer the artistically barren cinematic offspring of this opportunistic approach to horror filmmaking. Such is the case of Jeff Broadstreet’s dodgy 2006 reimagining “Night of the Living Dead 3D”, a film that boldly attempts to combine two of Hollywood’s latest trends: three-dimensional technology and remakes. In the history of outrageously bad ideas, this should at least receive an honorable mention. I’ll fill out the paperwork tomorrow if need be. Using Romero’s classic a framework for this supposed tribute to the original film, Broadstreet shamelessly regurgitates a painfully generic zombie scenario that never once deviants from form. Here’s the...

Director: Jeff Broadstreet. Review: Adam Wing. Lets be brutally honest here, 3D movies are rubbish. Up until Avatar’s release last year, ‘3D movie’ was a term most commonly used to describe a horror sequel that had nowhere else to turn. Freddy and Jason have both had stabs at the third dimension, and last years horror remake My Bloody Valentine took us to hell and back three times over. Probably best if we don’t mention Jaws and The Final Destination, there’s a trend starting to develop here. When I tell you that I’m not convinced by the concept of 3D you can probably understand why, and that’s without mentioning just how ridiculous we all look in the cardboard glasses they expect us to wear. Is it too much to ask for somebody to design a pair of glasses that look as cool as Neo’s from The Matrix,...

Three years ago, we were subjected to an atrocity that gave us a new spin and a white Ben in Jeff Broadstreet's Night of the Living Dead 3-D. With public domain rights, any Joe Shmoe can make his or her version of the classic 1968 George Romero film. That last statement is once again proven with the news of another 3-D version of the undead film. Directed by the unknown Zebediah de Soto and written by When A Stranger Calls remake director Simon West, this remake will be titled Night of the Living Dead: Origins. Sounds like a prequel doesn't it? Well, it kind of is and here is what I mean: From The Hollywood Reporter website: "On the story front, De Soto, who wrote the script with David R. Schwartz, wants to update the tale partially by bringing out the characters’ backstories and make what he called 'an American-style anime.
