Former "That '70s Show" star Wilmer Valderrama will (possibly) return to network TV in NBC's drama pilot "Rem."
Valderrama is one of five actors who have been cast in the pilot, which stars Jason Isaacs ("Brotherhood," "Harry Potter") and was created by Kyle Killen of "Lone Star." The others, Deadline reports, are Steve Harris ("Friday Night Lights," "The Practice"), Laura Allen ("Terriers"), B.D. Wong ("Law & Order: Svu") and Dylan Minnette ("Saving Grace").
The show revolves around Isaacs' character, Mark Britten, a cop who suffers an accident and wakes up to find himself living in two different realities -- and he can't determine which one is actually real. In one of them, his wife died in the accident but his teenage son (Minnette) survived; the circumstances are reversed in the other.
Harris will play Britten's partner in one world and Valderrama his partner in the other. Wong is set at Britten's...

You think the casting of Jason Isaacs for the lead role of NBC's cerebral thriller Rem was awesome enough? Think again.
We have to go deeper.
Deadline reports today that former That '70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama, along with Law and Order staple Bd Wong and The Practice alum Stephen Harris will join Isaacs, Dylan Minette and Terriers' Laura Allen for the so-called "Inception-Style" pilot.
Penned by Lone Star creator Kyle Killen, Rem chronicles Detective Mark Britten (Isaacs), who wakes up after an accident to find he is living in two different realities, the first in which he has killed his son Rex (Minnette) and one in which he has killed his wife Hannah.
With Britten sharing different detectives in the two realities, Valderrama takes the role of the younger, eager partner Detective Richard Vega, while Harris will play the more grizzled, wry-humored counterpart of the other.

Last month, we previewed NBC’s swinging ’60s drama pilot “Playboy” and admired its potential as a worthy alternative to “Mad Men” on a TV network that has leaned heavily on “Law and Order” for so many seasons. But NBC executives are considering a new procedural, with a twist, written by “Lone Star” creator Kyle Killen, whose script for The Beaver topped the 2008 “Black List” of most-liked screenplays in Hollywood.
Howard Gordon (”24″) will executive produce the series and David Slade (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) will direct the pilot.
Unfairly pigeonholed in the press as merely a televised homage to Christopher Nolan’s phenomenal Inception, NBC’s upcoming pilot drama “Rem” — with the great Jason Isaacs recently attached — is shaping up to become the latest formidable addition to their fall season line-up.
On page one, we are introduced to Mark Britten (Isaacs) under bizarre circumstances. Bloody and unconscious, Mark, alongside wife Hannah and teenage son Rex,...
