[This story contains spoilers from the third episode of season 12 of Curb Your Enthusiasm.]
In the world of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Larry David is back in Los Angeles and he’s a bit famous.
The third episode of the HBO comedy’s final season brought the so-called liberal darling back from Georgia, where he made national news for violating the Election Integrity Act when he got arrested for offering Leon’s (J.B. Smoove) aunt, Auntie Rae (Ellia English), a bottle of water while she was in a voting line. He has a trial looming — and is facing up to one year in prison and a fine of $10,000 — but he has the new perk of being praised by strangers, including actress Sienna Miller, who appeared to be flirting with the famous curmudgeon.
With Larry back in L.A., the ensemble was all gathered as Cheryl Hines, Ted Danson, Richard Lewis and Vince Vaughn reunited with David, Smoove, Jeff Garlin and Susie Essman...

‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Guest Star Troy Kotsur Reveals the Joke That Made Larry David Break Character
Note: The following story contains spoilers from “Curb Your Enthusiasm” Season 12, Episode 3.
Sunday’s episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” titled “Vertical Drop, Horizontal Tug,” sees Larry David hit the golf course, where he eavesdrops on a lesson that improves his swing a little too well.
The lesson is given to Troy Kotsur, a deaf actor who is best known for his Academy Award-winning supporting role in the Apple TV+ film “Coda.” Through the rest of the episode, Kotsur’s feud with David intensifies as he’s hit in the back by one of Larry’s golf balls and later hit with a bagel intended for a homeless man.
To keep the narrative spontaneous, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is shot without a script. Cast members are given scene outlines so they can improvise lines as they go. The actor opened up about how his prior experience in improv helped him make David...

Is it hot in here, or is it just TV Fanatic's steamy exclusive clip?

The most wonderful time of the year may still be months away, but we don’t have to wait to learn about the movies that will be drawing us to our TVs for some holiday cheer. Two of Lifetime’s upcoming films feature an Egot winner and a Grey’s Anatomy reunion. The 2022 It’s a Wonderful Lifetime movie slate will include Egot award winner Rita Moreno and returning favorites Marissa Jaret Winokur and Sarah Drew. Moreno will be starring in Santa Bootcamp, along with Winokur, Emily Kinney, and Justin Gaston, and the holiday tentpole movie is directed by the network’s Queen of Christmas, Melissa Joan Hart. It’s a reunion for Hart and Winokur, who worked together in Lifetime’s 2018 film A Very Nutty Christmas. The new film also showcases the network’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity, with deaf actors Deanne Bray and Zyra Singleton joining the cast.

Talent agency Verve has signed Troy Kotsur, the deaf star of Best Picture-winner “Coda” who is fresh off his Oscar win for Best Supporting Actor, after a competitive situation among agencies.
Kotsur is the first deaf man to win an Oscar, and he’s the second deaf actor overall to win after his onscreen wife in “Coda” Marlee Matlin won the Best Actress prize for 1986’s “Children of a Lesser God.”
The success of “Coda” also allowed Kotsur the opportunity to make an appearance in an episode of “The Mandalorian,” and next up he’ll star as the coach of a deaf track team in a film called “Flash Before the Bang,” which is being produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s Pearl Street Films. He’s also appeared on “CSI: NY,” “Scrubs, “Criminal Minds” and directed his first film, “No Ordinary Hero.”

Troy Kotsur has become the first deaf male actor to win a competitive Oscar, winning the Best Supporting Actor prize for his work on “Coda.”
Kotsur is preceded only by Marlee Matlin, his “Coda” co-star and on-screen wife, as the only other deaf individual to have won an Oscar. She won Best Actress for her work in “Children of a Lesser God” in 1986.
“This is amazing to be here on this journey,” Kotsur said through an interpreter as last year’s Best Supporting Actress winner, Yuh-Jung Youn, held his Oscar so he could sign his speech. “I really want to thank all the wonderful deaf theater stages where I was allowed to develop my craft as an actor.”
He added, “This is dedicated to the deaf community, to the Coda community, to the disabled community. This is our moment.”

Troy Kotsur loved the script for “Coda” but knew that in one crucial scene he didn’t want to say the words, “thank you.” To be more precise, Kotsur knew he didn’t want to sign the phrase. Deaf actor Kotsur plays Rossi family patriarch Frank in Siân Heder’s film about Ruby (Emilia Jones), the Rossis’ hearing teen daughter who takes steps toward independence from her deaf parents and brother.
Frank and his wife, Jackie (Marlee Matlin), have just attended the school concert where Ruby emerges as a star; they’ve never understood her passion for singing but now have seen others responding to her performance. Sitting on the family truck outside their home, Frank asks Ruby to sing for him, touching her neck to feel the vibrations. At the end of the song, the script called for that “thank you.”

This story is the third in a three-part Spotlight on Deaf Actors When deaf actress Deanne Bray was auditioning for the Pax crime series “Sue Thomas: F.B. Eye” to portray a real-life deaf FBI agent, she was alarmed to encounter more hearing actresses auditioning for the part of a deaf character than actresses like herself. “I remember showing up and waiting in the lobby witnessing voice coaches working with hearing actors to sound more deaf-like. To find places to lessen their speech skills,” Bray told TheWrap. “I was disappointed seeing that. Growing up for 18 years learning to pronounce parts of speech in school in speech sessions and not being able to speak like a hearing person. Not sure how I felt witnessing that in the hallways.” Bray eventually won the role, and the show was a success that ran for three seasons from 2002-05. But even two decades later...

NBC’s Heroes has had quite a run. Some of it was great, some of it was met with some negative response, but the producers have tried to stay true since the first episode, and now that could all be coming to an end.
There hasn’t been much news from the NBC camp whether Hereos will get a fifth season, but you can imagine that many fans won’t be behind the idea. This season has brought in many elements familiar to comic fans, and even got comic veteran Mark Verheiden to write a few episodes, so there’s still hope for more super powered action in the future. But will it be enough?

We've been a bit neglectful so far this fall season with our television coverage, particularly when it comes to analyses of episodes week to week. So we're going to do our darnedest to correct that oversight, starting right here, right now, with a look back at last week.
After careful consideration, we began to realize that detailed reviews of every episode of every major series, every week, was just too unwieldy—we haven't the manpower, and we doubt you have the patience to sift through long deliberations about the lives of your favorite characters on your favorite shows. We'll still do more detailed reviews every once in a while, but expect analyses of partial seasons more often than individual episodes.
So what's the alternative? Mini recaps/reviews. Think of them as Bk Burger Shots for your pop culture soul.
Ok, that's a wee bit disgusting. Think of them as "reviews you can use,...

Got a scoop request? An anonymous tip you’re dying to share? Just want to say hi? You can send any/all of the above to ausielloscoop@ew.com Question: There's speculation that Izzie cheats on Alex on Grey's Anatomy. Is it true? —Molly Ausiello: No, but the newlyweds will be dealt a major blow at the end of next week's episode (the best of the season, Imho). In fact, the crisis is so big that Izzie disappears for roughly five non-consecutive episodes. Btw, even though I knew Katherine Heigl's mini-hiatus was coming, Izzie's exit was no less powerful or emotional.

A new still from "Hysterical Blindness", the upcoming 5th episode of "Heroes" season 4, has made its way out via Internet. In the shot, Hayden Panettiere's Claire is photographed making out passionately with Madeline Zima, who portrays her college roommate named Gretchen.
Several days before the photo came out, Hayden claimed it was her idea to have a lesbian storyline on the hit NBC show. "I kinda threw it out there," the 20-year-old actress told Daily Star. "They [the writing team] put you in relationships and I was like, 'Can I just be with a girl or something...? Let's do that.' So they took it and ran with it. She's a great girl ... and we have a blast."
"Hysterical Blindness" is scheduled to be aired on Monday, October 12. It will center on Robert Knepper's Samuel, who prepares for new additions to his family, while Dawn Olivieri's Lydia warns him of the consequences.

[The writers] put you in relationships and I was like, 'Can I just be with a girl or something...? Let's do that.' So they took it and ran with it."

Premieres on Monday, Sept. 21 (8/7c) on NBC
Heroes has been in a downward spiral for about two years now. It's sad, but it's also very true. There was a glimmer of hope with Bryan Fuller's return to "Fugitives," but he quickly left the show early in the production of season four, which is set to premiere next month.
We last left Heroes in a peculiar spot — Nathan had just been killed by bad-again Sylar. However, because the show just refuses to get rid of any main cast members, Nathan's mother Angela convinced Matt Parkman to transform Sylar into Nathan, effectively killing Sylar but keeping Nathan alive. However, it wasn't long (maybe five minutes) before bits of Sylar's consciousness began to show through the new Nathan. Meanwhile, Tracy Strauss (another example of the show's inability to lose cast members) returned as a water-controlling murderess who took revenge of all those...

It’s tough to imagine Heroes without Sylar as the bad guy, but with Nathan Petrelli dead and shape-shifting Sylar convinced into thinking that he is in fact Nathan Petrelli so that nobody else knows about Petrelli’s death, and so Angela can still “have her son” in some strange and bizarre way (confusing, I know), Heroes was in need of a new bad guy. Enter Robert Knepper, who most of us have come to know as the villainous Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell on Fox’s Prison Break. Knepper will play a charismatic but evil character named Samuel, with a twisted sense of humor in at least six episodes next season.
Knepper joins Star Wars Alum Ray Park, Deanne Bray, and Madeline Zima as new season 4 characters, many of whom will be part of a ‘Carnivale’-esque traveling show with a host of eccentric ability-riden characters.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that both Ray Park and Deanne Bray will play roles in the upcoming season of NBC's "Heroes." They'll be joining newcomers Robert Knepper ("Prison Break") and Madeline Zima ("Californication"): British actor Ray Park, whose role as Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace made him an icon to fanboys far and wide, is in talks to join the cast for a sizeable arc. Additionally, Deanne Bray (Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye, The L Word) is nearing a deal to come on board for multiple episodes. To read more about their roles, go here .

According to Entertainment Weekly Ray Park and Deanne Bray will play roles in the upcoming season of NBC's Heroes. They'll be joining newcomers Robert Knepper (Prison Break) and Madeline Zima (Californication):
British actor Ray Park, is probably best remembered for portraying Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, is in talks to join the cast for a sizeable arc.
Deanne Bray (Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye, The L Word) is nearing a deal to come on board for multiple episodes.
Here's what EW had to say about the specifics:
Little is known about Park's role, except that he would be playing one of the colorful characters at the center of the show's Carnivale-esque storyline. (My guess? He's the character described in the breakdowns as "Knife Thrower.")
Bray, meanwhile, would play a deaf love interest for one of the main Heroes. As I previously reported, the part specifically called for a hearing-impaired actress.
