- Wrote his first play, 'Bloodmoon' at 11, after seeing 'An American Werewolf in London'.

- Passionate about Shakespeare; after his first lead role in a feature, put his film career on hold to attend the National Shakespeare Conservatory in New York on a scholarship; the production company tracked him down to the summer program's only phone, a pay phone, to arrange a flight to Los Angeles for ADR work.
- A Chinese gung-fu and kickboxing practitioner, Jason is an avid fan of the UFC.
